🧪 Early Information on Solstice Summon Portal - 2024 [Part of The Beta Beat V68]

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the Solstice Summon Portal.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Costumes inc!

Noice!

Little typo

Maybe all released heroes?

As everyone, I like the inclusion of costumes, which makes many heroes much more worthy
(Perseus, LotL, Zeline, Diaochan etc …). Especially with boosted 5* appearance rate.

…maybe I can indeed hold out a little longer since costumes are included. Granted, that’s not meaning I’m going to get any epic ones, but it’s a little more enticing. Still hope it’s in June when this releases and not July.

It has to be in June, the Solstice is in June.

Yay for costume inclusion at least!

Solstice is at 20th of June, but the event is not in the calendar. o.O Will be inserted later maybe?

We will see next Monday the date of the Solstice Summon with V68 announcement.

Hi, @PlayForFun. Will the summon include all costumes available for all costumed heroes, some costumes for all costumed heroes, all costumes for some costumed heroes, or just some costumes for some costumed heroes? Thanks.

You will get the costumes for all heroes, where they are released.

Probably good idea to start to stack with gems for those who buy offers for Solstice, as Solstice offers themselves are terrible. I Expect Solstice to hit the week of, well, actual solstice, Tuesday 18/06 or Wednesday 19/06.

  • Today Valhalla 400 gems + 25 Valhalla Coins for $2, 5 in stock
  • Challenge Event next week Thursday (until Sunday): 200 gems for $1, 7 in stock
  • 20 June Tremors of the Underwild, 600 gems for $3, 3 in stock
  • 20 June Untold Tales, 600 gems for $3, 3 in stock

There can be Beach Party offer with 200 gems for $1 (5 in stock I think) and since now the calendar offers are shared in webstore there will be perhaps slightly better offer there.

Probably best ‘‘tactic’’ would be to save gems for whole year, buying only best gems offers each month, saving all materials and spending it all on solstice/black friday summon.

Quick math here is for example :

  • 1 eur = 200 gems
  • 100 eur monthly x 200 gems = 20.000 gems
  • 20.000 gems x 12 months = 240.000 gems
  • 240.000 gems : 8400 gems (30 pulls) = 28,5 x 30 pulls = roughly 850 summons
  • 850 summons with 3,8% chance for special heroes = 32,3 SPECIAL HEROES which equals to 2,7 heroes special heroes per month at 100 eur monthly ( not counting all the HOTMS)

Those are the averages

The problem is waiting for so long to press ‘‘summon’’ :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, the problem is that you need to hold on your gems (good luck with that) and I am not sure there is enough monthly offers for $100. For 28 these offers are regular:

  • $9 total for Underwild for 1800 gems
  • $9 total for Dunes for 1800 gems
  • $9 total for UT for 1800 gems
  • $7 total for CE for 1400 gems
  • $10 total for Atlantis for 2000 gems and 125 Atlantis coins (or it is 4 still? I am not sure here).
  • $10 total for Valhalla for 2000 gems and 125 Valhalla coins.
    = $54 for 10 800 gems/28 days.

Of course then there are irregular offers such as Garden of Roses (but that’s just first tier for single $1), mystery offer during Seasonal Events (5$ for 1000) and the chests you fill, which have the best return even if you fill it with free offers as long as you hold until the last day (hoping to see one during Solstice Summon, apparently seasonal one got cancelled).

And not counting PoV+PoG either, which have the best value overall but not for gems only.

The final issue is until recently we didn’t knew Solstice will contain Costumes, which increased its value a lot, but even then getting 5* doesn’t mean much by itself, it can be Mena, but also Margaret.

Good analysis of real offers… Well final conclusion is, you save half of my predicted money 54 vs 100 eur and get half of those heroes

I have a question: if for example the Solstice summon is from the 18th to the 24th, heroes/costumes (like Zekena C) that are released after the 18th but before the 24th will be added to the Solstice Summon or will they be left out?

If a portal starts with a set of heroes on the 18 as you’ve put it, it won’t add a costume to a hero on the 20 when that costume shows up. Once the portal opens, it will have the same heroes + costumes as when it closes.
It makes no sense to summon a hero on the 18 in a portal only to see in the same portal the hero getting the costume on the 20.

Closed as the portal is now live.
