These new S1 costumes do indeed have very high stats, but from what Iām seeing so far, most of them arenāt going to change the raid arena metas very much. Quintus is the most notable exception.
There is a lot more to a hero and team than just the stats alone. The 5533 power raid defense I set up in beta using only these costumes is getting steamrolled by teams with less than 4500 power. Itās not the size of the stats that matter, itās which heroes you choose to bring and how you use them.
To be precise, Iām not at all excited about these heroes.
The speed at which new heroes are released these days is unusually fast, and I donāt even know much about the skills of Kalevala heroes.
When the S3 heroes were released two years ago, I thought, āA new season and the heroes? Nice work!ā, But now, āThe heroes hidden behind the paywall again?ā And do I need to summon a bunch of heroes I already own? No, thank you. "
So what is the wisest choice to summon heroes?
After all existing hero costumes #4 have been released?
After LB is released up to the 4th level?
Perhaps such a time will not come until a week before the game is out of service.

Too many new heroes with new specials I donāt really get to try because by the time I can max them newer shinier heroes are here to have to level and max up and not use. I do use the five stars during war but itās more a reshuffling the deck and just pushing my lowly season 1 and now season 2 heroes up into the dustbin of history never to be used unless of course I fork over the cash to get the newer costumes. The more they do this the less incentive I have to pulll. Stop shoving our faces in the fact if you want to keep up you need to empty your bank accounts or have ALOT of disposable cash that you donāt need. Rant over. (For now anyway).
Alfrike : Very slow hero, small chance of surviving if she hits one target multiple times and or if you have cleanser not affected ( chance of survival = 10%)
Quintus (one speed faster hero) : I dont like taking chances
And BTW, S1 heroes have combined 5x bonuses or more of Atlantis heroes costumes/ tavernsā¦
additional bonuses of costume should be minimal - just to keep in line with power level of current heroes.
Specials will already be upgraded versions to nowadays standards,
It is discouraging, as we can now safely assume that there will be an endless cycle of costumes across all portals.
They definitely wonāt just give us the new costumes. And as much as Iād like it, I think itās fair - for lack of a better word. However, they should give us better avenues to get the old ones for free. Something like TC13/TC20 5% odds and guaranteed through HA8/HA10.
So mindless attack going wild now, expecting next bunch of heroes with something like passive ability againts mindless attack, so everyone who will chase that heries gonna get owned.
This endless loop with costumes is kinda funny.
Horghall and Quintus are big winners here. Joon also sees a win with his burn DoT. Domitia wins as well with the EDD. Pair Justice with some killers and she can wipe the board clean.
The others seem mehā¦nothing much changed for the better. I mean maybe if Viv healed, cleansed and then gave the opponent fiends.
I have run HA10 for 39 weeks, and I have not received a single costume. (I have received one non-S1 hero, that I will probably never ascend. And 38 S1 heroes without a costume.) I so hate how this game feels when one has bad luckā¦ or actually, how this game feels if one does not have a very good luck.
Also, I hate even more this SGGs attitude: āYes, yes, yes, we finally hear you. Those old heroes should be buffed. And they will be buffed! You just need to summon them again, but thatās not a big deal, right? Hey, why are you leaving? Helloā¦?ā
Even better. I havenāt gotten many 5* costumes, I did get a few though.
Not directed at any one person, there are a number of more current hit-all heroes that basically can beat my attack teams by themselves. So adding a few more heroes to that list changes nothing for me.
I have run HA10 for I think 89 weeks, with zero costumes whatsoever. I have pulled 4 non-S1s (3 new, 1 dupe). Out of the 43 or so weeks that costumes have been available, zero costumes pulledā¦
@PlayForFun Excuse me if this question has already been made, but thereās any information about other S1 heroes like Richard, Thorne, Kadilen and the rest of 3s and 4s?
I can definitely understand why Vivās new costume would seem underwhelmingā¦
On the other hand, my only overheal heroes now are Faiez and C-Kash. So Vivās new costume would be a big uplift for me. (esp. as C-Kash is only overheal to self and nearby!)
This ties into the point I keep making re accessibility. SG can keep on releasing so many great new heroes, but if they remain inaccessible for a large part of the player baseā¦ eh
