This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the Round 1 of Kingdom hero costumes


Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

There are a total of 2 new Costumes being tested in v67 Beta 5 Testing Cycle.

Innate Ability: Unstoppable Minions
- Resistance against Minion removal.
- Can’t be prevented from receiving Minions.
- Minion attack and abilities can’t be disabled.

Special Skill: Lady’s Flowers

  • Recover 30% health for all allies.
  • Summons a Lackey Minion for the caster and nearby allies with 25% HP and 25% attack inherited from the caster.
  • Each time a Lackey Minion hits an enemy, it steals a random dispellable buff from the enemy and gives it to its owner.

Innate Ability: Unstoppable Minions
- Resistance against Minion removal.
- Can’t be prevented from receiving Minions.
- Minion attack and abilities can’t be disabled.

Special Skill: Triumph of Strategy

  • Summons a Shu Soldier Minion for each ally with 25% HP and 20% attack inherited from the caster.
  • When summoned, the Shu Soldier Minion gives its owner the ability to counterattack with 55% of the damage received as long as the owner has a Shu Soldier Minion. This effect can’t be dispelled.
  • Summons a Shu Guerrilla Fiend for all enemies. The Fiend damages its target with 70% attack every turn.
  • The Shu Guerrilla Fiend absorbs healing. It disappears after absorbing a healing amount equal to 55% of its target’s max health.

I hope that passive “invincibility” is limited to the hero and not for every hero they summon a minion for. Btw this is the new trend: a costume pretty much identical to the original plus a passive ability that will be an absolute pain in the back. They will eventually switch passive ability and special skill, the passives are becoming more and more troublesome than some mere damage/healing

You are right and this is fair / look balance to me.

Now minion remover/protector/disabler can only “partially” eliiminate the minions, and so these minion summoners can be considered to be used in defensive team again with a tradeoff on other teammates not have these innate abilities.

minions are 915hp

Noor, Grimble, Alucard and the likes are partially neutered with these costumes!

And apparently, the way to remove the caster ‘s minion is either direct damage or another minions’ damage.

At least you don’t have to struggle with the earlier heroes like I did :wink:

All that remains is to wait for a new hero who will work on minions that Xiaotu does not work on
 I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they released one in the new edition of LNY :rofl:

Ah yea, more costumes that are just straight up upgrades on the base hero. Like, massive upgrades. Loveeeely!

$GG likes to keep on backtracking and super cede on game abilities and mechanics they introduced.

Buffs cannot be dispelled
Dispels buffs that cannot be otherwise dispelled
Buffs cannot be dispelled by dispels that could dispel buffs that cannot be normally dispelled

Ailments cannot be removed
Cleanses ailments that cannot be otherwise cleansed
Ailments cannot be cleansed by cleanses that could cleanse ailments that cannot be normally cleansed

This is all very confusing.

Can the unstoppable minions hurt Vela and Devana? Both are immune to minions’ damage and effects, and technically their passives affect themselves, not the minons.

Laselle may finally get his niche from these unstoppable minions

They may include
the minions could not be replaced or displaced/ disposed by fiends!

And now Telluria will benefit from these minions!..Zhuge Liang - Diaochan - Telluria


Based on the wording, Devana and Vela should still not take any damage
 for now.

Over 1100 power, cmon whats thé point increasing stats everything Time, its Time to stop this crazy power creep

They’ve been making essentially 6* and now 7* heroes, they just keep the 5* label to avoid players getting too angry.
