Which emblem path for Finley?

I can’t decide if I should continue attack path or if I should get the 2% mana boost. My blue mana troop is only level 13 so it’ll be ages before it gets to 23 to make that 2% worth anything.

Can anyone make a convincing argument one way or the other?

23 is the breakpoint for using on offence.

On defence the mechanics of mana generation are not that straightforward…

The 2% boost will have more of an impact on defence even with the lower mana troop than it does on attack.

I would go Sword Path anyway for him, my friend…that 2% is so insignificant in the long term.
He’s fast, 8 tiles to charge: I would prefer him bringing the most havoc could be possible, than charging him with 7 tiles. That’s my 20 Commodore’s Revenges

Any other thoughts here? Ham and iron are getting full

At what troop level would the 2% make a difference on defense?

Mana boost does nothing for fast heroes. It still takes lvl23 mana troop to get the mana break from 8 tiles to 7 tiles. Better off choosing attack on Finley as he’s a sniper, and giving that lvl23 mana troop to an average hero so that it can charge in 9 tiles instead of 10. Which is the difference between 3 matches of 3 or 4 matches of 3. Giving Frida the lvl23 mana troop for example would serve you far better.

Well said, thank you :vulcan_salute:t2:

:man_shrugging:

Nobody seems to really have a clear understanding of what happens / how mana mechanics fully work on defence…

Now that is interesting!

I won’t do mana nodes. Always stat increases.

Just my opinion

Right on, thanks. I think I’ll do the same. You even did the 19th! That’s commitment :ok_hand:t2:

War defense. Just glad he’s done so i can move onto the other 100 rangers in line for emblems lol

Anyways yea took the extra health for all these AoE DoT heroes flooding the game

Ah, good call. Who’s your next ranger? Costume Lianna is looking mighty fine to me, though Seshat is a top choice (that I don’t have)

I’ll start working on evelyn, seshat, alasie. At least off the top of my head since i use all 3 in war. Outside of war defense i go wide. I first try to get a stat boost in att+def+health for each hero then start the cycle over and do it again. Only heroes i use in war attacks get emblems. I don’t need to emblem heroes for any other part of the game.

Now after the first set of stat increases then i look at the next path and figure out what my hero currently lacks the most and try to improve that(lady locke for example, stellar attack as is but soft as a feather, so instead of arcing her attack to 900, I’ll work on her defense and try to start pushing it towards the 700ish range to up her vulnerability to make more use of her utility which is the only green cleanser we have)

@Mr.Spock @Rigs hey guys. Spock did you hit all attack nodes? Or go health and d like rigs? Just pulled him with my 5 free summons

F-G-T-V-? Not sure who i should play with as my 5th. My options are poseidon, joon(no costume), costume sartana, alfrike, ursena. I will be stripping seshat. Prob Csartana.

I wouldnt strip seshat
And i would run rainbow personally

I’d run
Seshat vela telluria gm poseidon

Grats on the pull btw!

Reason for rainbow is it puts your top troops out front since you should be working on at least 1 lvl 23 mana per color anyways

Reason sesh over sartana is the dispel
Placed behind vela it can trip up the mitsukos and grazuls etc of the e&p world

Poseidon over joon mainly because of class
Fighter > monk in my opinion, plus poseidon does have more durability

If you get joons costume that might change things but for now I’d go poseidon for sure

And even if you get joon costume, the slight gain is so small that it’s probably not worth resetting emblems for to be honest

np

he’s good but his glory days are behind him imo

in offense:

1: he’s blue

2: team wide buffs aren’t as common as they were in days of guin & ursena reign, so the odds of hitting more than 1 or 2 aren’t as good as they used to be. sure telluria heals all but only for a couple turns which isnt always enough time to fire finley in time to take advantage of it, especially if his mana is already nerfed

in defense, i already explained. but to add to it, green tanks didnt do finley a ton of favors since it encourages players to use mitsuko in their best red offense teams in both raids & wars, it’s pretty seldom finley fires from wing before I’ve fired mitsuko
