Haven’t even looked at my trophy count in 2 years…
Hi @Pois1, you just were lucky with your platinum chests I think hahaha, but you 4* unfarm AM is very close to mine in something like 350 chests in diamond. I also track gems, trainers and emblems and all see higher in Diamond as well.
Okay, but I hardly see what that has to do with this topic.
Hey @ierazo, have you tracked any differences between high-end Diamond (over 2600 cups) and low-end Diamond (around 2400)?
What’s wrong with cup dropping? I get easier battles, guys who attack me get easier battles, we all get to fill up our raid chests faster. Win, win, win. What’s not to like?
It depends. Do you load up with 5 heroes in your defense that are beatable, or do you put in a single hero so an opponent would have to use up Raid Energy for one hero instead of five in the Hero Chest?
I do 5 unlevelled 5 star heroes. Cuz having 1 hero would be inconvenient for the attacker, and I don’t lose anything (more than I would lose by losing a battle) with 5 heroes anyway.
I mean, even this is win-win, because you cup-drop faster, cuz otherwise people would skip over your team and re-roll, you don’t end up dropping as many cups as you want, others are frustrated they didn’t get their raid chests filled; pointless to put a single hero there.
If that’s how you live your life then I guess we’ll just put in the bullies basket along with the other bullies,
As you perfectly stated,
As only weaklings (bullies) would want.
At the end of the day it’s done, it’s accepted and it will never go away BUT WILL NEVER EVER be a true test of skill as the only placed the true skill comes from when dealing with cup droppers is from those you bullied taking back their recenge and winning
I know many do it, me personally have never liked it and couldn’t bring myself to doing it. But then again I was never a bully in real life either so maybe that has something to do wirh it, I don’t know.
NOTE this disclaimer! In using the word you I do not mean you personally but every and all cup droppers.
I… can’t believe you just associated a harmless act that’s win-win like cup dropping with… bullying of all things.
I just realized I’m a big bad bully for bullying those poor wolves at 8-7
I just throw my raids by fleeing because I like to have control on who I give my cups to. I dont want another Diamond Arena player taking cups to pad their rank, so I choose opponents that will drop me over 45 trophies at a time, and they are typically in that 2200 range to start off with. Mind you, I only throw raids when I’m going into a Raid Arena cooling off period after a miserable slump thanks to RNG.
Usually when I work my way back up, I try to go for the fewest trophy gains I can feasibly skip for in order to soften the blow for my opponent because they probably won’t revenge. I prefer less than 15 cups, but I’ll never raid for over 20 until I’m back in upper Platinum or Diamond. Or if the opponent’s Team Power is over 3700 and that’s only if I feel their team is legitimately strong and capable of a successful revenge raid based on their heroes and team synergy.
I will say, at 4089 Team Power, I almost lost a raid to a 3100 TP player because of Cyprian, Kashhrek, and Boril in the Front 3 combined with bad tiles. Riposte and counterattack can be a real b---- sometimes even to perceivably stronger teams.
It’s only win win during the short period of the cup dropping, MAYBE.
On Many occasions there are beginners including myself back in the first couple of months of playing that complained because they would be raided by teams that had amounts of 1000 plus to above them when they went to do revenges.
Now although you yourself may not cup drop and rise back up to your max cups in a 24 he or so period many do and this is where the bullying part is targeted to.
Naughty boy you,
accepting your a bully is the first step
The next step is joining the B&C help groups (Bullying & Cyberbullying)
Nice to see you realise this for yourself,
OMG I know right!!! When I vent about this, others are just like “play b3tt3r man if u can’t even beat kashhrek and boril”. I’m like… no, it really is the tiles.
At this point, I just want to stay in platinum. I’m not good enough for diamond.
It’s not that I can’t possibly raid myself into diamond. If I had a lucky streak going and burned a few flasks, I could probably potentially get myself into diamond. For about 5 minutes or so. Then I’d log in the next day and be down 200+ cups.
Again…
I just want to stay in platinum for now. I get annoyed when people keep raiding me and knock me down below 1900. That’s when I get all
Revenge raid half my watchtower
self edited to mask profanity
Like many in this thread, I don’t care too much about cups… revenge only to fill chests etc. I usually stay 2450 upwards overnight. But one point in the OP hasn’t been picked up and that is the use of cups in alliance admission. We do it as a proxy for level / experience. If we could say : level 30/40 etc minimum we would not use cups.
Well, truthfully, it’s a combination of both. Most 4*-laden teams a 4000 TP player can recover against with a bunch of bad tiles. When it’s against Boril, Kashhrek, and Cyprian, their dynamic with bad tiles can be dang near costly especially if they are maxed and emblemed. Throw in Gormek+20 for Defense Down and Hu Tao+20 for Blind and Fives Time Revive, and you’ll probably lose.
I do this occasionally because it’s faster, guaranteed results. But this is worse because:
- Opponents don’t get the benefit of easy raid chest fill-ups
- Some players might not appreciate those extra cups; like, I’d be pretty angry if I was trying to cup drop and you just gave me 150 cups lol.
LOL… did you raid me? I was under the impression that you ran with the diamond crowd, so I shouldn’t even be on your radar.
No, but I just saw the opportunity for the perfect response meme!
