60 is the max you can lose per raid, and I only throw one raid per player. I never give another player one raid’s worth of cups.

I’m still sub 4k TP myself, I’m guessing you’re way above that…? But if you do ever raid me, I’m willing to give it the ole’ college try in revenge. I’ve beat other people who were way out of my league before.
Oh… when I do it, and I see a guy I can give a lot of cups to, I just raid, lose, retry, lose, retry, so I don’t have to waste food searching for other people I can lose a lot of cups to lol.

Understood, but I typically rarely hurt for food. In fact, I was sitting on full food at 3134k for the entire day yesterday. I was desperately trying to spend food. I had no one to ascend. No troops to ascend. Hunter’s Lodge tied up in an upgrade. No good items I’m able to craft or would want to craft from the Forge that uses only Food. I’ve got like 50 Miracle Scrolls now.
So, yeah, I’m not afraid to skip for my ideal candidate.

Don’t believe I’ve seen that one. But I don’t actively raid regularly, I only do revenges every few days or so. Last I checked, I only had about 2050 cups and a defensive TP of 38something. I don’t have the fancy heroes you have, mostly just season one trash. 
And I’m only player level 43.
'Tis okay though, I’ve beaten far scarier teams than yours (mostly by pure luck, of course, but it does happen from time to time).

Sorry, I didn’t mean that as bragging or anything… I’m not that great a player myself. I’m just used to fighting players who overpower me, and occasionally my boards go well enough for me to beat them. I once beat someone who was nearly 4500 TP when my attack team was about 3600. 
I was stunned. I fully expected to lose. I don’t actually attribute that to a semblance of skill on my part, just got really lucky that day.
Oh, I wasn’t offended in the least or perceived it as bragging. The proof I need is in my Watchtower. I lose 75% of all raids when AI is playing for me. It’s all I can do until I can get the mats to level my sleeping giants.

I’m actually amazed at how well the stupid AI has defended me. That’s kind of why I set my defense team up the way I did - it’s definitely not the team I would personally pick for a fight, but I know the AI isn’t smart enough to make good decisions on its own.
I have zero data on that, I never check my raid cups when opening chests but is actually a good project idea to add it.
Maybe I will check into that in the future, but the problem is the samples would be even smaller so noise would have a bigger impact.
Totally agree with you, @Blafengarf… I’m a low-cupper myself!

My obsession with trophies reached an unhealthy level. I screengrabbed the torphy icon, ran it through a resolution enhancer, and 3D printed it. I have that trophy on my nightstand, and I gaze lovingly at it every night before I go to bed. It consoles me in these dark times. Once, I lost 809 cups in one night. I was devestated. After months of therapy, I have regained my previous rosy outlook on life, able to keep my positive attitude during this global crisis. Maintaining my Diamond status is the primary motivation for getting up in the morning. If it weren’t for that, I would spiral down into a deep pit of despair, unable to muster the will to live. Trophies are life.

I actually did lose 809 trophies in one night. I found myself at #57 after regular raiding, and decided to go for #1. I was hitting out of my league (I was “only” level 42, and my strongest attack team was around 3900), but with the power of mono and two Raid Flasks later, I had made it!
I went to sleep, comforted in the thought that my glory would be immortalized for eternity, and accolades and kudos would be flowing to me from throughout the globe…
I woke up 809 cups poorer. It was a bloodbath. Still, I can write that on my tombstone, “He was Global #1 in Empires and Puzzles.”
My legacy is secure.

For me, nothing makes me more motivated in this game then to win over six 4600-4700+ tp teams and getting to top10 and possible one.
As global 1 for 73 times I have seen it all and try it all. Dropping and getting back up is best scenario, trying different combo of teams against most powerful teams is super exciting.
People that are disappointed in there teams or raid attacks will ask way so obsessed. Not judging anybody we are all different but this is high demanding game with new heroes every month. I see this as fun and really like it. My defense never goes down under 2600cups and after reaching few goals that @Olmor said you make your self new goals for raids.

Our alliance had a competition to see who could win a raid with the biggest TP difference. Screenshots or it didn’t happen. 
The winner killed a team 1710 higher! (he killed a 4333 team with a 2623 team)
That was so much fun, a lot of us ended up in Platinum or Gold going for it, but it was a blast.
