Classic ascension trouble, three heroes at 3/70, 5 scopes, Frostmarch still over a month away, but I might get lucky and somehow get a scope before that…
So… Vela, Magni or Richard?
My significant blue roster is Frida 4/80, Thorne 4/80+18, Isarnia 4/80+6, c.Kiril 4/70, c. Sonya 4/70+9, Grimm, Borill, Triton, second Kiril, second Sonya, all 4/70…
Titan team Frida, Kiril, Isarnia, WuKong, Thorne, heavy damage on red 9*, up to 100k best hits, not holding back on items.
Same set-up for mono raiding, with c.Sonya replacing Wu. Also using Frida/ Isarnia/ Thorne for 3/2 raids mostly with Malosi and c.Rigard.
I’m thinking Vela gets the mats and some druid emblems, up to +9 or so… any pro’s and con’s?
I would (and did) pick Vela among those three. This was just prior to the nerf, but I have no regrets in having ascended her, and she is still one of my best heroes, she’s awesome.
Now, I’m curious what people would choose between the two remaining… I’ve got a Costume Richard sitting at 3-70, and a regular Magni leveling up to 3-70 as we speak. If Richard didn’t have costume, or if Magni DID have costume, it would be an easy decision, but… I guess I’ll wait anyway and see what happens, since I only have 4 Telescopes right now, and a lot could happen between now and then.
Unless you have got Magni-costume, I will ascend Vela.
She is as good as her reputation, her extra damage to fire heroes will make her magnificent both for offense and defense.
Magni Costume is another option since his skill will lower enemy’s defense and other heroes can fire at will to finish off.
Thanks, Vela most likely, as I said, but the real problem is the next hero is 7 scopes away, that will take forever… I just fear I’ll pull Richard or Magni’s costume right after ascending Vela. That would be… not nice… not nice at all…
Hmmm… c.Sonya and c.Caedmon with mana nodes and the right mana troops, tend to disagree… c. Rigard, also, even if he’s a bit slower… there’s lots of fast clensers available nowadays…
Gonna go with the crowd here and say Vela. I have her, and I’m gonna agree with @Chadmo - there’s almost no wrong way to use her. (Except against Mitsuko. I tried that… once.) She can perform well any place on your defense. Her element link is great for Titans. I drool over defenses with more than one red, or who try to hide a red hero in the corner and save them from taking damage. She’s good for farming. And you don’t have the emblem conflict you’d have with Richard.
I’m currently leveling Magni, and so far, I really like him, but I think Vela is your answer.
If you’ve got Telluria, go Vela. It’s an obvious choice. Magni is too squishy without emblem. Though, the costume is on another level.
Costume Magni or Richard, Vela still toppled both. But the most important part is choosing one which has had a good synergy with the rest of your heroes. One that suit your playing style. And less interference with emblem distribution too.
