Hello all, I have quite a few 3/4* Trainer Troops, as well as a lot of 3* elemental troops for each color. Can someone tell me whats the best way to use them?
Up until now, I have only used 2* elemental troops to feed to my 4* troops.
What am I doing wrong?
Their only use is to feed them.
Generally iron is more abundant than ham so using for non legendary troop is “better”
Since they have increased xp using them at higher levels saves more food.
Yes i was thinking that using those at higher levels make sense.
I feed elemental 3* too right?
Do people level lower level troops for 3* tournaments?
I set aside the troops I plan to use. For me that’s generally 1 legendary and four mana troops. Then for epic and rare I like five troops each. Everything after that can be fed.
I have some level 15 troops for rare events and tournaments.

So you kevel 3* troops? Is 15 the max for them?
2* Troops maxes at 15.
3* Troops maxes at 20.
OK great. So I am guessing I should be maxing these out to give me self the best chance to be competitive in 3 and 4 star events?
Yes, and believe that is what @Ruskin505 intended for his setups. With the current state of the game, aside from a player just starting out, and the 3* and 4* tier challenge events, the only other events that will restrict what kind of troops you can use would be the 3* and 4* Raid Tournaments and the seasonal Kalevala Rare/Epic tiers. Their uses will dramatically decline with more players maxing their 4* troops and using 5* troops.
While not 100% certain that the 2* and 3* troops will the end all be all of these situations, the boards still will play a good part of determining an outcome. Having leveled troops will ensure you get some defense padding and damage outputs for your heroes, having lvl 1 place holder troops (not the 1* troops) gives you no stat bonus. With troops easier to level now than they were before, still take a long time though, it is just up to you to see if you want to focus on leveling these 2* and 3* troops, based on your play style.
With the exception of 1* troops. I keep one of each maxed troops, because I play as a collector, not as a competitor.
I really appreciate this thorough explanation. As someone who plays all events, I will definitely get them leveled ASAP.
Final question: is there a such thing as 3* mana troops?
Unfortunately there is not. Despite what some of their names are and how they might seem to be magical in appearance, each element gets the identical 3 kinds of 3* troops. None of them boosts mana gain.
