I don’t think “better” is the right word choice. I think you’ve identified the key differences as well as pros/cons. But style is ultimately personal preference.
If I have another fast hitter think I’d prefer lepus so I can kill one enemy at 8 tiles. If I have frida I’d prob prefer thorne as a follow up.
Yes but if you only get 8 tiles you don’t.
As I’ve said you’re making the right comparison I just think it comes down to what your team set up is.
Defense down by itself isn’t enough, you need either an additional elemental debuff (preferred), or an attack boost (needs to be at least +48% to make a meaningful impact).
FWIW when I was still running 4-1 teams my blue stack was cKiril-Frida-cRichard-Lepus. Then cRichard got replaced with Cobalt, then Lepus later got dropped because I wasn’t running 4-1 teams anymore except occasionally in war. (all my raid teams are 3-1-1 except my yellow stack, which I use less than 1% of the time lol)
I dropped cRichard first even though he was within 10% of Lepus’s damage and much sturdier, because sometimes you just never know when that additional tile damage will save you.
Will definitely kill one hero, but splash damage from Thorne will not be enough to kill anybody else unless they’ve been weakened by tiles already. Do you have not Frida or King Arthur? I’ve always found debuffs way more effective than buffs.
It depends on your team synergy. How you do your combos. Also, there are times when you need your hero just to fire a tad faster to save you. Or you have other heroes to buy you time to fire a slightly slower hero.
