It not only that expectations was high on Thanatos, but I really can’t see that he is at the level of today’s heroes.
Of course depending on what you have and what is in the queue, I wouldn’t waste any material on him. (Having almost all the heroes in game and being careful about materials)
Off topic: I just bought the WoV roster offer after checking shop : stated 800 gems for +5.
Last I checked (last roster offer in Jan): it was 850.
It’s strange. Did Zynga move the goal post or did they delink the roster offer from shop purchase ? I hope it’s the latter cos 800 was what I had to pay before I started buying roster offers.
I’m hoping a buff is in order. Thanatos is the one I had been waiting for since I first got a preview of that card from beta months ago. I was then disappointed when I saw the nerf at release. Of course I pulled him with just a few leftover tower tokens. I’ll likely level him up to 2.60 to test him out for myself, but damn… what could have been.
He gives AoE +24% mana generation at 6 tiles. On top he can also slow mana generation of enemy team and resist defense ailments, which is always great combo with healers. I will max mine, just now undecided whether ahead or after Cao Cao.
I think many are just disappointed because his pre-release version was much more powerful. Me, as someone who doesn’t have Xnolphod, am welcoming him. And with R&N they’ll be nasty.
This hero makes no sense as is. A newly released hero with a second special that is significantly worse than xnolphod. I just dont understand what goes on in SG’s brains as they push out heroes.
Hmm, not sure I understand you here. Slow heroes need a 34% increase in Mana to fire at 9 tiles. What exactly are you referring to with the 27% Mana reference. I’m a bit confused
