Tank advice

Looking for advice on a tank to put some time in. Heres the few i have currently that would probably work ok.

Boss wolf
Queen of hearts
King Arthur
Aegir
Joon

Joon is the only one of the bunch ive got to ^4 and im working on maxing him out so temporarily he’ll probably be my best bet, but im looking for advice going forward on who i should invest in.

Does your alliance run same tank color for wars?

Im not exactly experienced in the finer techniques of gameplay so the short answer is no, we dont coordinate our D teams with one another Im not sure anyone on our team is very technically informed either really. If you dont mind explain on what running same tank colors would do for us

Running same tank color during wars exhaust the strong color vs that tank for your opponents

If you guys run all reds, opponent stacks blues but runs out of blues and is forced to go off color

It lowers probabilities of a 1 shot basically

Oh ok that makes sense. Thanks. We’re not exactly going up against the best of the best though. I always use a rainbow team personally when attacking…im sure thats not a popular method on here, but it has a lot to do with my secondary heroes just arent up to par so i just go with the strongest lineup i have. So currently im using Marjana at 3^70, Lianna at 3^70, Rigard at 4^70-13, Sonya 4^70-9…and Joon at 4^30. So im working to max him out, id just like to have a good tank to put in between Joon and lianna.

It’s a good method until you develop more depth then you want to start practicing with color stacking, starting with 2 of strong color vs tank if possible

Plus on titans the more heroes of strong color + wu u can use vs titan, the bettter your scores

All comes with time

1 thing i would do if lacking depth, especially for newer players

Level 4* instead of 5*

You can max 2 4* for every 5*

4* require more common mats, less food, are easier to summon, and less xp to max

This will allow you to build depth to take start taking advantage of the tactics above which will make every aspect of the game easier than running full rainbow all the time

For your tank question, if solely talkin raids, i would go with: aegir out of those options

Not cause i think he is a great tank but because i think he is a decent tank that is still good in other areas so a wiser max at early roster progress than others that are more niche

Arthur would probably be my 2nd option

If you have boldtusk or rigard or kiril or kashrek maxed already, any one of those can be a decent tank, as well as li xiu so i wouldnt worry to much about maxing a 5* tank just yet personally

Thanks for the advice. When i was mentioning using rainbow teams to attack i should have specified i do that during raids/wars. I do stack 3 of the same color on Titans and can usually field a team around 3300 no matter the color. I currently use Ranvir at 2^60 for titans instead of Wukong. Orbs have been tuff for me to come by so ive held off on ascending Wu to max which paid off when i got Joon. Now ive got Vivica as well so ive got a little bit of a log Jam in the holy department.

And to respond to your edit, im currently using Rigard as a tank until i get a better tank.

Joon is not tank material… I would pick in this order>>Aegir, Boss, Queen, Arthur and Joon

Thanks for the advice Rohn. I almost took aegir to ^3 a while back but i got on here and saw people trashing him and how they nerfed him from beta so i gave arthur the capes at the time. i looked it up again today and it seems that the opinion has changed for the better for the most part. Ive also seen some people saying marjanas attack is too low to be a useful hero long term so if i have Joon and Lianna as snipers…replace Sonya with Arthur which gives me another sniper, keep Rigard, and replace marjana with QoH i feel like that would be a pretty good rainbow team…i feel like by the end of the christmas offers ill have the mats i need to make that happen…so i guess my question now would be…Aegir and marjana as my blue and red or arthur and QoH
