What number are the stat % nodes based off? Are they a static number based off the characters base stats or do the act as a buff the increases as it goes up. They seem extremely expensive to me bases on the values they give, especially for 5*. For example I’m currently at Magni’s #10 node. It costs 125 emblems for 3% defense. Which works out to be 17. All his other modes are 18 defense for 50 emblems. So the 3% costs 2.5x more, but provides 1 less defense. Then his lv 20 node is 4% offense which equals 31 offense for 250 emblems. The base ones offer 15 for 50. So the big 4% node offers just over a 2x boost, but for 5x the emblems. Would make a little more sense if that value was treated like a cumulative buff, but not as a static value. The #10 node is essential to move on, but why would anyone (at least with limited emblems) ever want to drop the 250 for the last node? Hel is another example, 250 for 29 offense, which is less than 2x her normal 50 emblem node. Plus her lv 19 node is poor as well, less your mana troop is one level too low where the 2% mana boost helps. So for her, it seems lv 18 is a better stopping point…
They are just percentages of the base stats when fully maxed. They don’t increase with increasing nodes.

Some do stop at 18 depending on the class. Especially on 5s since its so much that you could use to start another hero Like a 4. I think at some point they will add more nodes so while you can skip them now I think eventually they will be needed to continue the skill tree.
Certain ones like mana boost or healing percent might not matter if you don’t have the troop to use it so you can wait to you get there and use the emblems on another hero. I’m talking about 3,4s since many have gotten to 18 But skip the last 1 or 2. But again I think it depends on the class and skill added.
