I’ve been an active player and have spent some money, and will likely continue to. I have 29 5* heroes, and most of the 4* ones. I have not fully ascended any 5* heroes yet, have been waiting to collect the right ones. I have enough ascension mats for one full team now. I mainly focus on titans and wars, but my titan damage is usually in the top 5 already (against 7 and 8*)… sometimes as high as 90-100k.
My question is: With the heroes I have, should I go ahead and ascend 5 of them now, or are there certain colors I should hold off on, with the hopes of getting a better hero? It’ll take me a long time to get enough ascention mats for a second one of the same color, so I would like to get the right the first time. I can spend more money if needed, if a critical hero comes up.
Here are all of the 5* heroes I have now. I have included the 7DD gaming hero grades (some were missing), their class, and also highlighted the 5 heroes that I am leaning towards ascending right now, if I were to ascend 5 of them.
It depends on what color tank you run. I’d personally go with Ariel, Lianna, Seshat, Mitsuko and Poseidon. Some mana control, heavy hitters and arguably the best healer in the game. I’d also work on Miki and Panther to 3/70…at the titan level you’re fighting currently they will survive ok. I use Miki against 10-12 stars at 3/70 and it sometimes doesn’t go well.
You have a great selection, and can go many ways here.
Personally, I prioritize heroes that can help me in offense first. That’s where this game rewards you the most. You can’t attack properly in diamond arena with a just a good defense team; you can however raid in diamond arena with a good offense. Same applies for wars; you get points attacking, defending only helps mitigate opponent points.
Blue is between Miki or Ariel. Miki is the best hero for titans, can work fine at 3.70 too though. Maxing him is just to improve his stamina though which he’ll eventually need for higher star titans. Ariel on the other hand is an awesome healer, cleanses and makes her whole team faster after she uses her heal thanks to mana boost.
I would pick Lianna myself. She’s the strongest sniper in the game.
Seshat or G. Panther here. Either one is a good choice, both dispel target + nearby. Do the one whose ability you prefer more.
Mitsuko is the winner out of all those for me. She is the only hero that is good against two colors: green and blue. That can make color-stacking during raids much easier, and even when the blue threat is taken out via suicide into her mirror of flames, she still works as a mana reduction hero.
For yellow you have less immediate need for Vivica since you have Ariel, and less immediate need on Ranvir since you have Miki. So that narrows it down to Poseidon; he’s a solid sniper, not quite as hard hitting as Joon but he is significantly better at taking hits. His special skill protection buffs are great though, since mana control is a very important part of this game.
I don’t have nearly the selection that you do, but count me as another Poseidon believer. He’s my only maxed five-star - Domitia still has about six-and-a-half levels to go - and I have had zero regrets with him. Fast, hard-hitting sniper, and his secondary effect comes in handy more often than you would think. Lets you laugh off Li Xiu, Onatel, Proteus, and Guin if you can time it right. Vivica is great; I have her at 3^40. But her slow mana is a drawback, and I’m assuming you have other capable healers. What about maxing Grazul for a healer, since you don’t seem to have a clear-cut choice in red?
Edit: Oh, yeah; you have Ariel. She should be your healer choice. Bonus: she gets a family bonus with Poseidon!
