Rainbow 3* team would you replace any

Interesting thoughts. I’m just starting to experiment with color stacking. I will try to keep these ideas in mind as I move forward. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

I have my rainbow 3* team almost complete in my original post. Just need to take Valen from 39 to 50. I took some advice and complete 23-7 and 23-8. Only 3 more to go to complete season 1. I’m on providence 15 on season 2. So much still to figure out.

@Gryphonknight I would have sent you a personal message, but I couldn’t figure out the mechanics of it. Just wanted you to know I’ve been trying to take this advice to heart, sometimes with more success than others.

  • I went ahead and took Onatel to 3^70, since I had already given her the orbs. No regrets, and I will go ahead and give her the darts when I get them. She’s completely changed my game, and (per @Kerridoc’s rebuttal to your no regrets leveling) the opportunity cost of not leveling and using her was much too high. I can’t imagine who I would pull - outside of Guin, which is very unlikely - who I’d rather give them to.
  • Once I hit Onatel’s cap, though, I did resist the urge to start leveling my shiny, new Poseidon in order to max Melia (I need more hitting druids for class trials, and I know it’ll take forever to get the mats for Poseidon anyway, so that made the decision easier).
  • When it comes time to decide whether to take Poseidon to 2^60 or max my second Bane (nearly there), my Keilani (really short on clerics), and/or my Gan Ju, it’s gonna be tough. You and my head say max all three before starting on Poseidon; my heart says I wanna be king of Atlantis! Knowing that I should get the darts I need around July (assuming there is at least one available in the summer event) will also tip the scales in favor of the three stars, because Onatel will be eating all my yellows for a while after that.
  • I resisted the urge to give the capes to Sonya for the moment while I max Ulmer and Gunnar in blue, per your no regrets leveling, and I think that was a good decision. I thought I’d really like Sonya, but her special doesn’t hit nearly as hard as I expected, at least at 3^60. If I finish Gunnar and don’t draw another four- or five-star blue before then (come on, Kiril!), I will probably give her the capes, as I will have maxed all my three-star blues (Karil, Graymane, Ulmer, Gato, and Valen) and my only other four-star blue (Grimm) at that point. I currently have 7 capes, so I will be just short of your guideline in no regrets leveling (assuming no capes from Guardians or Springvale in April).
  • Using that guideline, I decided to go ahead and max Skittleskull, even though I seriously considered leaving her at 3^60 and going with Mneusses (again, really short on clerics). I have several three-star greens maxed (Friar Tuck, Brienne, Belith, Isshtak) and Carver at 2^1. I just had so many shields (with more probably on the way from Springvale), and since I usually try to carry the load for my small alliance in alliance wars, I thought Skittles could really benefit me. Bonus: with her at 4^40 and Ameonna on her way to 3^60, I was able to finish the Trials of Mysticism for the first time.
  • Speaking of Ameonna, I held off on starting her while I maxed Prisca. I’m actually in good relatively good shape on four-star purples, with Sabina and Tiburtus both sitting at 4^70+6, so that decision was easier. Prisca is terrible, though, even maxed, and as soon as I get Ameonna to 3^60, I’m going back for Tyrum and/or Balthazar before starting on my duplicate Sabina or Tiburtus. In hindsight, I probably should have done one or both of Tyrum/Balthazar before starting Ameonna, but the shiny, new factor won out there. Lesson (hopefully) learned, and as I said, I did complete Trials of Mysticism with her, and she also helps in wars with her temporary invulnerability.
  • I also resisted giving the blades to Kelile to get her off of 3^60, while I work on a second Kelile. I think it was you who said it’s better to have 2 heroes at 3^60 than one at 4^70 and one at 1^1. I think that will be the right decision long-term for building war depth. I already have plenty of maxed three-star reds (Nashgar, Namahage, Jahangir, Azar) and honestly didn’t have another one to work on if I’d wanted to. (Also, I’m hoping Boldtusk pops out of my TC20 soon, which could be a game-changer for me in lots of areas.)

All of this is a VERY long way of saying thanks for taking a lot of time to convince me of the right way to level a team, especially for F2P. Again, I would have done this via personal message if I could have found the right button. At least maybe someone will see this endorsement and give your methods some thought. But my Poseidon still hates you and your dang indisputable mathematical logic.

Shiny 5* heroes

He can join the club. My Frida, Marjana, Isarnia, Vivica, Misandra are currently not speaking to me.

Skipping dessert.

I am glad Kerridoc and I could be of help.

But you should occasionally give in, especially with shiny 3* 3.50 heroes ( my Rudolph, I do not really need him but MINIONS) and 4* 3.60 heroes ( Gryphonkit has Cheshire Cat 4* 3.60
which is not as helpful on Sorcerer quests but literally too fun not to trigger his special skill when it charges )
