Ares is wicked…I took him to aw at 3/30 and flanked him with colen and gormek…and it was enough to evaporize 3 out of 5 guys from enemy rainbow team, crippling remaining ones 
plus his durability and healing over time is essential if the board is against you. It is still a lot of time to max him so he can replace bold as the tank, but he seems fun to play with. I hope that before guardians he will climb to 3/50 so he can help with legendary level I can only imagine how tough he can be at 4/80 and some emblems…hopefully I’ll see him there one day

I have Ares and Sonya not yet maxed and too wondered who to give emblems too…
Leaning towards Ares since I have Caedmon work emblems, but I may still unlock the first node on Sonya at minimum.
Which brings me to ask…should I unlock first node on my maxed cyprian? I wouldn’t unlock Boril because his talent doesn’t really compliment his special as a cleric, but Cyprian’s does. He’s on my defense team, and I don’t plan to go any lower than +1 if I do. Just wondering if that first node makes sense.
No need for a +1 on Cyprian. His main riposte must be complimented by high health and not defense.
And yes to Ares. One of game changing heroes.

The 1st node gives Cyprian a chance for +25% defense when hit for 2 turns, would that not help him a bit if he’s activated while being hit?
@AirHawk I haven’t given them because most advised against it, but I’m asking because I’m trying to make sure I understand talents and their use properly against the hero of said class.
I had my +14 Sonya and made a +6 Ares out of it. Still happy with this decision…
Increasing defense only reduces the effect of riposte heroes.
Riposte works best for heroes with high health and low defense. So no for Cyprian unless you wanna go all the way with him.
@AirHawk ah, hence why damage wise he’s a better riposte than Boril. Okay, thanks for that, Will not unlock his talent grid.
