Last time we discussed Rigard. Activity in this thread shows how important this character was (and still is).
For 5th edition I wanted to include S1 5* hero, as we already discussed S1 3* (Karil) and S1 4* (Rigard).
I was thinking, which standard 5* was considered the best one before idea of costumes was introduced?
After some time I decided to go with one of the first finishers in game, Lianna herself.
Note: we are discussing current state of Lianna, regardless outdated [no family etc.] picture
Questions:
Did you use Lianna? Do you still use her?
Your memories with this hero, either fighting with her and against her (only no costume version)
In context of Lianna’s main purpose, how she stand compared to newer heroes? (only no costume version)
With all 3 costumes, how Lianna stand compared to other S1 5* heroes?
Is Lianna still worth using even without single costume? This question is meant in perspective of newer players who don’t have many heroes, let’s say, just below Diamond.
Let’s pretend Toon costumes doesn’t exist yet. In which situation would you use original form of Lianna while having her costumes?
I see Lianna a lot at the bottom rungs of Diamond raids. I don’t think she’s all that great. I use her on my Green Titan team for lack of anything better right now. She shows up in a later war team sometimes, but not in the first round.
Yes, I used her a lot. I got Lianna quite early in my E&P days and not long after (Maybe a little before) I got Evelyn. It was a fabulous one two KO. I don’t use her at all these days.
As I said above, Excellent one two combo with Evelyn. Fighting against her, she was annoying and hit stupidly hard back then but I didn’t see her on defence all that much.
She doesn’t have the raw vanilla base level stats to stand with snipers of today
She’s a beast again with that Toon costume. Her silence costume is epically useful as well
Depends on who else you have really. I don’t use her these days but that’s because I have heroes I consider to be far more useful.
Her silence costume would be used a lot if I had it. Raids, Wars, Events, everything. Silence is useful. The rest is meh
Great hero in her day but not so much anymore. Silence costume is still useful, Toon costume is a pain. I’d use her with costumes but with vanilla she doesn’t hit hard enough anymore.
She no longer has the perfect shot.
But nothing wrong with basic and fundamental heroes like lianna. Snipers will teach you that sometimes you just need to take down one enemy in the most crucial turn and that is just as important as AOE hitters
I got Lianna relatively late, so by that time I had a maxed and highly emblemed Gregorian as my Green sniper . Yes he’s slower, but I had the troop to let him charge in 9
His crit boost and element link also played in his favour
Lianna is still useful though, for depth. If I didn’t have Greg, she’d be perfectly serviceable as a sniper
I got Lianna pretty late in my game. She’s maxed, but I didn’t have any costumes. That changed with the last costume chamber, so we will see what she looks like in new clothes, once I’ve finished with c123-Horghal. Might be a while, and might get something else before getting to her, unfortunately.
