Next yellow: Malosi, Delilah, or ...?

Hello folks, I’d like your esteemed opinion on which yellow I should final-ascend next.: Malosi, or Delilah ( or I also have Leonidas, but don’t know about him… or should I wait for Roc (I’d rather not wait for Bai Yeong in September)?

The fully ascended hero will join my yellow war team which has:
Drake (emblemed),
Guin (emblemed),
Vivica (no emblem),
costumed Joon (no emblem),
Poseidon (no emblem).

So Malosi for an offensive team, that sounds natural, plus I can reroute barbarian emblems on him from Azlar. But if I use him who will I replace? Is Malosi a better attacker than Poseidon? Or replace Guin (heaven forbid!)?

Or should I replace Vivica with Delilah? I can’t give either emblems but Delilah is normal speed though with a smaller heal (but gives minion which is where the game is heading). Sometimes I do have a problem of Vivica not being able to fire before getting killed off…

(Or even go with Leonidas, for that mana reduction?)

Thanks heaps.

In my honest opinion, both Malosi and Delilah need to be fully levelled.
But I would go with Malosi first in particular if you come up against a lot of Telluria
Whichever hero you choose good luck

I’d say Malosi first as well. Unless you have a freya, try out freya with Delilah and see how their minion specials work for you.

Malosi… replace guin.

Hmm… but she’s emblemed. Viv with no emblems is pretty squish… but that cleanse. conflicted.

But malosi.

tough call. Delilah is really good, and in my opinion severely better as slow vivica (uncostumed). also considering she is fighter class, which is nice if you can give her some emblems until +7 let’s say to enhance a little the survivability (sure, this class has competition). depends probably on your other use cases, and how good you are equipped with healers overall…

There are many healers of every colors, but there is only 1 malosi who can prevents every enemy casting buff or debuff

Thank you all who replied!

Thanks! Malosi it is then.

I don’t have Freya… but I’ll go with Malosi. Thanks!

True Viv has cleanse and Delilah doesn’t. I am actually tempted to strip Guin of emblems now that I don’t use as tank anymore.

It’s tough call isn’t it? That’s why I wanted more opinion. I will go with Malosi first and then Delilah next. Thanks for sharing though!

Very true - Malosi it is! Thanks!

Delilah is fantastic. However, since you already have two yellow 5* healers, I’d go with Malosi. I would not necessarily replace any of the heroes in your yellow stack with Malosi, except in specific situations. Malosi’s special is situational, and most effective against support heroes, like Kunchen. He also will prevent Ursena’s yellow reflect, and you could experiment with Malosi as a replacement for one of your healers, since you have 2.

This…

Freya and Delilah together is an incredible combo.

Delilah is a hero I really wouldn’t be without, and fighter class is perfectly suited to healers, I’ve lost count of how many times Delilah or Boldtusk has revived and fired, completely altering the course of a battle.

Malosi is useful and can be really effective in stifling status effect casters… But I’d do Delilah first, she’s one of my very favourite heroes.

Thanks that’s some great advice! Yeah blocking Ursena’s reflect is useful.

Tha’ts a good point too, but BT is my only red healer so I have to give him all the emblems first before Delilah…

You’ve gotten good feedback already. I’ll add that Guinevere is not great on offense, so swapping Malosi in for her on offense is a good idea, IMO.

Undoing Ursena’s reflect is a big plus when facing her, obviously (though I appreciate @ZyzzyxRoad’s pointing it out) and given his speed, he’s more likely to fire than she it if you get a decent board.

Thanks @RicElDrac you are right! I am this close to stripping off emblems from Guin.

Another voice for Malosi first and bye bye Guin or Viv (or both!) from team.

Personally I enjoy mono a lot of the time and would never split my greens up, but when it comes to slow healers without serious game changing potential… if you get enough tiles to charge Viv (and she’s not dead yet) your other fellas should’ve already won the fight. If not, well then what good is she.

Have you tried 4-1, with cRigard for example? Drake, cJoon (he needs emblems!!), Poseidon, Malosi and cRigard would make a dream team.

Sorry to be a downer, but I, personally, would not strip emblems off any hero. Yes, you get the emblems back, but you don’t get the other materials. One can acquire emblems through the Trials events, etc., which is what I do. Guinevere is no longer in my defense lineup (a green hero who shall not be named is there now) but I did not remove her emblems. I still like those emblems right where they are when I use her in wars, etc.

Thank you @Kitten I haven’t tried 4-1 much before but may give that a try! I am putting monk emblems on Drake and Wu Kong, so cJoon will be further down the line.

@RicElDrac Thanks I’ll give it some more thought before I actually do anything. Thing is on offense Guin’s normal speed also takes too long to charge for her 20% mana cut to feel worthwhile. On defense that’s another story though but like you my tank is now a formidable green hero…

Fwiw I stripped my Guin just this last week, after almost a month of not even using her for war cleans. Painful but allowed me to seriously boost Hel, who is always enemy’s prime target, and cKiril. My offense is now considerably stronger and I’m a happy camper :).
