Long day and I have to head to bed but wanted to at least get back to you on the shoes! Years ago when I first started running I went to my local running store and got properly fitted. That was the best decision I ever made. My feet are pretty flat, so they were also able to give me the right arch support in my insert. I use Superfeet inserts in all my running shoes and they are AMAZING. But they have several kinds and I had to try all of them in store before I knew which felt right.
Obviously, every person is different when it comes to brand. Last year after a decade of hearing how amazing Hoka is, I was ecstatic to find a pair on clearance. WellâŚ. I did not even last my first downhill before I had immediate shin pain wearing them. So not right for my body! Hoka however has incredible customer service, and I got a full refund - even the shipping to send them back.
I use the strategy you mentioned to save tons of money. Sales, sales, sales! Especially at holiday time when most companies have the best deals. Thatâs when I get my Superfeet and I get multiple pairs. For shoes itâs whenever the next line comes out. So for example the shoes below (in womenâs of course but I linked the menâs for you) are my favorite road running shoes. Mizuno Wave Riders. Been wearing them for years. Since the Wave Rider 27 is out you can get the 26 at Nordstrom Rack 50% off. I think I still have 23s For trial I run exclusively in Brooks Cascadias.
Since you already run, you know that taking care of your feet is the most important thing. Even truer for longer runs. So I definitely recommend finding the brand that works for you by going to a well respected running store. Iâve gotten deals there too when they have old lines leftover. Whatâs right for me might be awful for you.
If Iâm doing race training, I usually have two pairs that I switch between so they can properly dry out, especially in wet conditions. But I definitely run my shoes into the ground. I know that youâre âsupposed toâ swap them out after so many miles and/or time but I canât afford that.
I am replying here so I donât mess up the recruiting thread. That is awesome! You will have to keep me posted on how it goes for them!!!
Ummm so if you think 240 miles is a lot (because of course it is ) let me introduce you to my favorite ultra runner, John Kelly. Blog is linked below. He does some absolutely insane adventures and I have dot watched John for five days at a time, just living my life, all while he was still running 4-5 days of normal living while he kept climbing mountains.
And if you donât already know about the Barkley Marathons and are interested after looking at Johnâs page well I got a couple other YouTube docs for you

Wait! What? Canât we expect any more full sentences? You know, subject etc.? What does the author want to tell us!? Perhaps the following will solve our riddle.
Free speech
Ok, free speech is important, but it does not relieve us of the need for complete sentences or a meaningful statement. Letâs go on.
don t censored me
Aside from further grammatical torture, how can free speech censor someone? We will certainly be able to enjoy an ingenious conclusion straight away.
