Be ready to spend 15-30K because of the minimum 650K score for top-10. Nowadays it’s highly expensive, and the minimum amount to get in top-10 will get only pricier.
It’s not about getting Grimm’s x4 but mainly is to get an impressive board from the start. You look at the board, make a move and go out. You waste thousands before getting an acceptable board. Difference between Scarlett [20] and Scarlett [0] is only in a few seconds time and not much of score. You can do top-10 with a regular team, but in both options, you can’t do that without an enormous combo which will cost you loads of money and time to find. I don’t know why Kainboy so much promotes getting to top-10 all of you or how he managed to improve his score in 30 minutes for four times on such high 690K overall rating. That’s not something you can easily buy when you want it. I tried.
Only ten of us will get that loot, and some of them will always pay more because they can. That’s an expensive purchase for P2W but not just a challenge for a long time.
I do understand every frustration about trying for rank 1 or Top10. Rank 2 ist so much worse loot then rank 1 and it is the same about 10/11. The event I spent most is the first Wonderland and I was rank 2 at the end.
To be fair @Api my late improvements were mostly luck. You are only one of two players who ever achieved 690k in an epic challengw. Which is very impressive. I am sure you know some tactics I don’t know.

Please notice that it is impossible for you all to be Top10 at the same time. With over one million players top10 is highly rare. I think my guide can give you the ideas to get to top100. You should be 2-3 times top100 before you try top10. Directly top10 is a big waste of materials usually because you don’t know when to go all in. I don’t know anyone reaching top10 without any top100 before.
My last win was under 100 bombs/manapotions because you learn when to go all in if you managed to be at the top for a couple of times. I think with experience you need around 15k for rank 1 (not guaranteed) and probably around 2-3k for top10 if you have all heroes needed.
It is a long time since I tried for top10. Last Grimm I was looking for new tactics and it certainly was more expensive then 3k gems. I will go for top10 this time and will look how many gems I need.
Grimmforest is without Wilbur. Probably more expensive for 660k but we will see. Maybe it is 5k now a days but I don’t play for the rewards. I have 20 royal tabards but I love the gameplay and it is okay for me to spend 20-30 bucks for top10.
I think the main problem is that the rewards are still the same over more than a year even though the player amount increased. The top1 reward should be for all top10 players. Maybe rank 1 can be the only one with the avatar and getting a second 5 star from that event of his choice. That would encourage way more peoples. Just from a price point of view events are not worth it. You definitely should only play them for the actual fun playing.

With kiril, grim, grim, sonya, triton. U think it is fair to say it worth a top 100? Grim and sonya at 18 emblems. And i got wu for last stage.
I dont think i will be able to lvl another grimm in time and it is only the sec time i try to go to top 100.
On wonderland i manage to get to 58th with 100 of ea battle items and only 7 flasks and all the world energy i got during that. weekend. And i dont even have falcon or lancelot yet…
Ding ding ding…how the rewards aren’t set like raid tourneys at this stage is beyond me given there’s probably at least 3x as many people regularly playing the game now as when pirates was first released.
The points screenshot from rank 4 was with Kiril, Kiril, Grimm, Sonya and Wu Kong. So yes it is feasible.
You already managed to achieve top100 in a more competitive event. You will be able to achieve top100 here, too. Your Grimm with emblem stage 18 is a huge advantage. Especially for stage 1-7, probably for 8 as well. Another Grimm is easily leveled if you have the material, but you would need to focus on him.
I think you aware of the tactic to use good stones. With the blue team you could try using only specials in wave 3. It is the item saving tactic but it takes a bit more world energy probably.
