Hi everyone, I am in the game for a few months, I got my defense complete with 4* on talents and none 5 stars hero yet… I have some others 4* to improve but I do not really have a nice 3* team.
Do you think it’s better to stop with 4* at the moment and go for 3*? As a 4* I already have Rigard, Hu Tao, Jack o’hare, Proteo, Gormek, Boldstuk, Triton, Sonia, Kashrek all of them at maximum, I’ve got melendor, Wilbur, Boril or Chao to improve with them.
On events I pass all of them very easy (just on legends I can not get to the last battles), but on events 3* or tournaments 3* I do not have a really good heros at max level (just Bane, Graymane, Valen and Belith). I have heros like Bjorn, By Ulf, Kvasir, Ei dunn or Gato to improve…
What will you do? keep going with 4* for wars or get a good 3* team for events and tournaments?
I can’t speak for everyone but able to compete in the 3* tournaments and events started to feed me the ascension materials I needed for my 4*. I have like 17 ascended 5* and 30 odd 4* but right now I’m working on Sudri and I just finished my 3rd Bjorn.
So that should hopefully tell you 3* are still relevant

In my opinion you are in a stage where you would be better mixing the leveling. For example. Your Wilbur and Melendor are very important 4* star heroes. One is key for events, hard levels and titans and the other is a healer which are unvaluable in raids / war.
So , if you can max them i recommend you on color feeding, its feeding color to color the heroes you want to level.
You can mix wilbur and mel with three 3* stars (purple, blue and yellow) and that way you are working on good 4* and good 3* at the same time.
As cheds said , they are relevant and you will need them, besides they are faster and cheaper to lvl than a 4*.
That said i recommend you to work on Wilbur , Kvasir, Bjorn, Melendor and Gato
And 3* are great for getting you 6 war teams as well.
I used my 3* purple team to mop up a couple of Yellow 5* that my alliance buddy left after a bad board. I didn’t want to commit anything stronger as that flipped the board for us so out came my 3 Bjorns, Balthazar and Tyrum team to hopefully get the purple tiles and sort them out.
Which they did so all was good and another reason I love my 3*
Definitely worth your resources. Completing the rare portion of events and participating in the 3* tournaments will yield you decent loot over time.
By-Ulf and Gato have great synergy. Gato will prevent By-Ulf from casting negative status effects in himself when used at the right time. Kvasir is high on my list of favorite 3’s as well.

I have a lot of emblems, and I olny used for 4* (Rigard lvl 17, Hu Tao, triton and gormek 9)
To be really good at tournaments and events where I can get materials for 5* hero I’ll need a rally good 3team(in my alliance many players are waiting for ascend 5, and once I get one I’ll want to be ready).

As I already got Rigard with level 17 of talents, Melendor it was not a priority, I was using the green with Kashreck and I just finished him yesterday, and today I used a few with Mneseo… I’ll go for Melendor now, thanks for the tip!
One of my biggest doubt it was between Ei-dunn or Wilbur. I read that Ei-Dunn it’s one of the best 3 stars hero, and I already got Boldstuck and Gormek on talents with 4 stars red, but I really like Wilbur, he’s a wall as a enemy and I have materials to finish him.

Yes initially as you can always take them back later. Buts it’s a matter of taste I think. My strongest team is my costume Brienne with 3 Bjorns and another to suit so I’ve kept the emblems on them as they will do a lot of work for me. But I’ve a very deep bench of 3* to pick from too
What a team you’ve got…It’ll be hard to choose a defense team with all of this options!
If I get 10 heros to the level 50 with some talents I’ll be happy, it will be enough to have chances to do a good tournament. Now with Graymane, Bane and Valen I can not be better than the 50%. I’ll do Bjorn, Gato and Kvasir first urgently and By Ulf and Ei-Dunn with time, as I have Melendor and Wilbur first.
I dont know your training camp schedule but doing the daily farming and running at least one tc 2 and two tc 11 (the other could oscillate between tc 2/11 or 20) should be enough to bring a rainbow team of 3* in a short period of time . And then , once you are satisfied with it, you can move to work on your remaining 4*. Thats is a personal choice, if you go mix of 3* and 4* or all 3*. The important thing is to not get idle and keep working on your 3* stars to start growing your roster
I got 2 camps at lvl 11 with and will get the lvl 19 very soon where I can get 1 hero per minute, which will help a lot for 3 stars heros.
I just need 3* heros for tournament or events, as I have really good team on 4*. (+3600 defense team) and 2 or 3 heros of each colour on the last ascend.
I was lucky and I get 4* very soon and I did not have any hero at lvl 50 of green, purple or red… I passed diectly to 4*, and now I am missing this colours.
The leader of my alliance recommend me to use the hero of 1 star for 3 stars hero, and the 2 stars for the 4 stars… and doing that I’ll have 10 heros improving at the same time.
I agree with the others who are telling you to feed on color. I’d especially try to not feed off color on 3* heroes, as you have less feeding to get the special to 8/8.
I will say that getting 10 3* heroes maxed will be far easier than you think, however, you may have to finish off maxing the special after the levels max.
It just takes time. We were all beginners at one point. My advice to everyone ever has been to get a good stock of 3* first and then build from there. They will help you to grow and earn you the resources you need to start on the 4* which will then help you grow again and when you get 5* (and you will) you can then work on them. Don’t get hung on on seeing teams that look god-like. They’ve just been playing a lot longer is all and even if you throw money at it you won’t get them there any faster as ascension materials hold us all back at some point.
I have 42 of 3* maxed, some are costume-maxed.
You will not regret having big army of 3* because you can chase very good loots and rewards from activities dedicated to 3*; especially the tournament and monthly challenges.
To complement to your progress onward, 3* can be:
Good cleaner for war.
Save 4-5* heroes for very hard stages on TOL monthly challenge.
thanks for the advise! I did not finished the TOL any time, I fail on the 5th or 6th and then it’s really easy but I do not have heroes enough… now I already had a few of 3* with emblems and it helps a lot on the tournament, hopefully I’ll get good rewards!
