Hi guys, I pulled Charissa yesterday and just wondering if she’s worth ascending? I read her main board and apparently she’s good and kind of like a purple GM (though less damage but more tanky), but the comments were all from 2020 so not sure if she’s outdated now as I can’t find any recent reviews on her.
My fully ascended purples are Seshat, Ursena, Dark Lord, Grimble and also either Agrefena or C. Victor that I’m working on, but I’m one off tabard off another option!
I dont have a lot of purple options but she is one of them. She is in my standard war team cause of her speed. I mostly use her there to be honest, when playing levels I go with Sartana and Domitia
Clarissa is “like a purple gravemaker”, but her DoT is like 2/3 of GM’s, and her special damage/poison is kinda lackluster imho… 
Clarissa’s main strength, other than her speed, is that 30% defense against special skill element link. It can be a life-saver when you’re either going mono or have another 2020 HoTM to pair with her. With a level 11 troop (5 if you take her +2% mana node), you can charge her in 6 tiles and she’ll protect the rest of your team.
Her damage is not earth-shattering, unless against Holy, so she won’t be your main weapon in attack and is in more of a support role
I had lots of fun with her before the double raid formation change.
Now “integral” is not a word I would use.
There are plenty of dead-in-9 mono heroes that perform a wider variety of tasks without the accompanying mediocrity.
But if you lack such options,
then go forth and do meh damage
to the 1 holy enemy.
and tickle 2 others
I have Clarissa fully levelled. Most of the time she is in bench, I don’t use her much because I have better purple hero’s. I suggest to wait for better hero 
This is a decent hero. A bit outdated these days as DoT doesn’t scale as well these days. Heroes gain health faster than DoT heroes get extra points on their dmg.
She used to be in my tier 1 purple. Now got moved to tier 2. She’s fun when you pair her with other fast or very fast DoTs. Looking at your purple team I think she can add some value, especially when you pair her with C Victor. On her own, well, she add some supporting damage but nothing gamechanging anymore. In defense, a lot of counters to DoT released make her unreliable.
do you plan to make more pulls somewhere soon? if so, id wait depending on your tabbard amount. if not, why not
As always it’s about the synergy. She follows Sergei and C.Vic in 6 tiles. The hit is not bad with that much def down. Then her and Vics Dot does 213 a turn and usually that flank is dead.
3 more tiles and I fire C.Rigard and Hel and it’s game over from there. Ghost 3 tiles to refire the first 3 if you need to mop anything up.
I’ve never had a team this silly good that doesn’t care about the tank, formation or what heroes are even in the team it’s hitting. I have Kage that I have subbed in for a change and it doesn’t work nearly as well.
Ergo Clarissa is integral to my team
Clarissa can also be a great buddy dark flank to a yellow tank.
If they bring yellow vs yellow tank, they deal weak tile dmg, and clarissa does extra dmg vs yellow
if they bring dark vs yellow tank, both flanks take weak tile dmg

You’re welcome. Costume Victor and Agrafena are absotely more important, but Clari isn’t bad. Just a lot more situational… Damage over turn is currently out of the lights.
Imo she is under rated. Was using her in my 3/2 purple/blue attack team to pair with Glenda for 2020 HOTM bonus but i pulled onyx and i can’t say they compare at all. Onyx is much better for my game play style.
I like her but i prefer heroes that hit hard, in fact i have Hannah on this team too and might replace her with my just pulled Master Lepus.
The main stays on that lineup are Athena, Glenda and Xnolphod.
I don’t have those other 2 heroes and i like Clarissa and don’t regret acsending her but i don’t use her as often as my other purple heroes. Purple is my strongest color by far and unfortunately she isn’t in my top 5.
Yeah I think the reason I’ve decided either C. Victor or Agrefena (and not both) is I find they are both a little similar with their DoT and defense down. I also have Karnov, Myztero and Chakky but I think they are all too a little niche for my liking haha
I now also pulled Senan (my first 5* slayer), though he’s slow and not sure about him but hey at least it’s another option to add to the list!
I would totally go Senan over Clarissa at this game point. However your emblems are the priority. If you have enough Sorcerer emblems than Senan is the highest Fiends in the game with a hit all. The meta will shift next year but Senan is much more relevant over support hero Clarissa imho. If you already have ascended Hannah or Elizabeth than you might want to reconsider your options without looking at your roster. Good luck and happy gaming!
I have both Clarissa and Senan ascended. Clarissa almost never sees any action, at this point I am using some 4* such as Aodhan in war over her.
Senan on the other hand kicks major …you know what… I have mine at +20 and he’s replacing Ursena next VF war, and next RT he’s surely going to be there. But he’s much more versatile than you usual slow character due to that family bonus that works even when he’s alone, so protect him long enough and he’ll be down to fast speed and healing 100HP each turn. Also, he’s not as vulnerable to fiend counterers becase he also does a ton of damage. I am also running him on farming and he makes Hard stages of S4 easy, since they usually take long so he hits 10 stacks before the end. So definitely Senan over Clarissa.

Appreciate your help! I definitely think I’ll go Senan then, but may I ask which emblem path you took? Is a defense or attack path better for him?
