Hi all I am having a difficult time with who to ascend next! I have mats for each color and have been using the hero academy and have pulled some nice 5 stars, but I am unsure and don’t want to waste them.

For me I would focus on
Kara for your next Yellow.
Tarlak for Green.
Seshat and Costume for Purple.
Marjana and Costume for Red.
Magni for Blue.
Whichever hero you choose good luck

Kara for yellow - you lacks taunt
C.Marjana for red - good against titan but you need another red damage dealer to maximize her usage in war so mitsuko next
Dark - senan, I have C.seshat and dont use her much as most enemies have purple tanks…but her dispel is very good…
green - silvaria, she will works well with your lianna, then tarlak,

Personally based on who you have in your roster, I would focus on the following as they can add the most overall benefit to your roster -
1 - Kunchen - Defense down makes a huge difference and is something that is missing in your roster. Hes great on defense in a raid OR war defense as well.
2 - Kara - Taunt is a really handy skill that will boost your survivability on offense, and great as a flank to a Kunchen or Alfrike tank on defense in raids or war.
3 - Costume Marjana - Very strong hero on offense and defense. Her costumes Elemental Defense Down will pair well with Boldtusk and Elena.
4 - Zocc - His Mindless Attack is really handy, and something you can use to your advantage to stop a hero from firing.
5 - Magni - Fast speed, and boosts defense for him and nearby allies - good option - but not better than levelling those above first.

You have some great advice here… and I agree with a few different opinions but not knowing if you are looking for defense, titan scores or just war depth is making it difficult to narrow down a proper answer so here goes …
Yellow/holy… kara defense/ devanna offense
Purple/dark…seshat+costume defense/sartana offense
Green/nature… tarlak titans/ zocc …defense
Red/fire…mitsuko… defense /marjanna costume titan/all around utility
Blue/ice… magni…offense/ rumple…fun offense
But just my opinion…good luck!

Honestly I am having a hard time raiding. I’m not sure of order I know tank position and flank next to tank then sniper. But where is it best for healers and should I have two healers per team? Also war defense I’m still struggling with who and where to use team. Thank you for help
Defense with what you have leveled I would go MN(c) joon alfrike elena(c) alasie try that and if that dosen’t work for you swap out for lianna (c) vivica ursena elena alasie…but you want your strongest hero in the center at least one healer but more than 2 healers would be too passive and at least one strong sniper. Good luck … dont rush it…remember to have fun… 
Pay attention to your troops…mana or magic are the ones to work on and in raids take your time to study what the opponent heros do and use the heros you have against them…

Kara would be the next choice. Taunt is op. I fully max her and I do not regret it one bit. Paladin also helf alot for a taunt hero. Arguably the best hotm imo.

If you don’t mind me asking is there any good blue besides magni that I should be looking for or would you just go for the ascend.
You see now that depends on if your roster can wait or if your in need of an ice hero right away. I have magni fully leveled & emblemed, and for a long time he was on my defense BUT I have his costume and that makes the difference. I replaced magni with morel then changed her with alasie but also the costume version. And there are alot more heros to choose from these days. If it were me, I would wait you have richard and I was not fortunate enough to get him until later in the game so I never needed to fully level him but he served me just fine at 3/70 but it really depends on what you need now. tbh there are some reallygreat 4* that are just as good if not better.

No problem! Based on your roster above, Justice would be your best option to use in Hero Academy as they are likely to be a hero you would barely use
