Should have gone with Athena IMO due to the fact titans are important. Ariel is better for PVP but still works due to helping with survival of teams against titans.
Don’t worry though, Ariel is definitely not a bad choice.

I’m not going to regret it! athena is definitely next! Only need 3 more telescopes… so 4 months or so?

I would like to jump in on this discussion with a similar question.
Wondering what you would think whom to ascend first: Ariel or Alice…
This is my roster, with the 6 best hero’s of each colour:
Taking Ariel would be my first 5* healer, but I have Kunchen coming up and sufficient tabbards.
Taking Alice would be my first Sniper, but I could also take Mariana in a short while.
And yes, Aegir was my first blue 5* so I gave him telescopes several months ago which I regret badly…
Curious to see your opinion on whom to take to the next level (I currently only have 6 telescopes)

I have Mavni maxed with no regrets.
I have Ariel at 3-70 and 8/8. She’s great but I’d choose Athena.
Ariel is good but Kiril can be better in a blue stack tbh.
Athena is perhaps the best def down hero.
Kiril might be better in Blue stacks but I’d still put priority on Ariel for your D team
I still dont buy it on blue stacks. I made some videos before where Ariel’s mana boost goes off with alberich mana boost… the result is fast heroes go off in 3 tiles… its crazy

Instead of writing a new post I’d figured to just reply here.
I have 0 blue snipers at max ascension, therefore do I use the scopes on Magni or Athena?
Magni and Athena both are at 3/70 and I finally got enough scopes.
The ultimate question: Is Magni better at defense team vs Athena?

Neither is outstanding on Defense although Magni at Fast mana and with the defense boost is tougher to beat.
Athena really shines when you get a tile cascade and she crushes their defense. When defending there is no tile cascade, just a slash attack every three rounds so while she is fairly robust and hits fairly hard, Magni probably fired twice and killed someone.
Magni also needs to be maxed more than Athena does. He is downright squishy at 3-70 nor does his special strike terror.
Athena’s key is her special defense debuff and that still operates fine at 3-70

Thanks all. Although it’s painful to see scopes gone, but 3/70 Athena can still be useful on Titans while Magni at 3/70 is weak as hell as defense. Grinding continues…
