Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

:performing_arts: Visiting Outfitter

  • This recurring event will allow players to get certain Costumes for their Heroes, in exchange for Gems.
  • After selecting a Hero, the Outfitter will show which Costume is available.
  • The Outfitter will always offer the oldest missing Costume for the selected Hero, and only offers Costumes released earlier than 18 months (548 days) before the start of the event.
  • You can only choose those heroes, which has a costume that you do not have.
  • Once you select a hero, then you can see which costume you will get.
  • In the live game, players will be able to get one Costume per event.

Costs in Beta (highly likely this will not be the final cost):

  • Rare costume: 100 Gem
  • Epic costune: 200 Gem
  • Legendary costume: 300 Gem

This sounds very interesting!! Let’s see how it unfolds in details.

This is more exciting than soul exchange for me.

100 gems for a rare costume. 200 epic and 300 legendary. Those are very cheap prices.

But choosing which costume will be quite a process. My first thought was a marjana costume since I have none and red is my weakest color. But the incremental stat boost for 0 to 1 costume for a classic hero is small. Would I be better off taking a tyr costume and have him being my second strongest red hero?

I wouldn’t actually take tyr but I’m thinking HOTM and other season costumes will provide a bigger ROI. The best case might be someone who got two costumes (one of which is toon) for a classic hero from HA and now they can get the third costume.

Maybe @PlayForFun can ask staff if these prices are just for testing?

this is what players have asked for a long time… Hope it is not too late for many

but the price in beta looks too cheap.
Realistically, even 5x still looks ok

Am not hoping for too much, just wish that they will offer us decent costumes for some of the seasonal heroes, old HoTMs and old event heroes. Some of those heroes are still useful but in desperate need of a stat boost.

you will be able to choose one costume and costume need to be older then 18 months //in beta(gem cost probably will be changed)

Does the costumes come with any costume bonus?

Wait, so in the Visiting Outfitter, you can choose the costume directly and pay for it? It’s not a portal where you pull and see what you get? (I was thinking something line Pick Up Portal)

If that so, then the prices will be MUCH higher in live game.

I will use this option to get my first Marjana costume too provided the cost isnt insane. I dont care about anything else.

But for hero with multiple costumes (e.g. the vanillas), you will still just get one, I assume? If that is the case, I wonder if you get to choose which version, or does the game assign it for you.

At the moment, the game gives you the oldest version that you do not have.

I’m exciting about Visiting Outfitters and think the condition that it has to be older than 18 months should be fine…
Then I went to check the list, track down and suddenly felt hopeless. Honestly, I think 300 gems is reasonable for them.
Francine is the sample they put in the teaser. The list of costumes should be about her released date or older.

Correct, you choose which costume you want “purchase”.

You will able to purchase 1 costume / event recurrence.

It has already been asked by many players.

I have serious doubts about that the prices will be stay this low.

With the recurring Outfitter, though the wait time i assume is yet TBD, players would have to carefully select which heroes they send to Soul Exchange.

For the prices, i will be okay with around 500 gems for Legendaries, but i will not got beyond 1000

I am excited about the prospect of getting costumes for not just Legendary, but also for the Rare and Epic. This being a recurring event also helps if there are multiple targets you are looking to for, even if you can only pick one this instance, the others you are looking for might be available in the future. Question is how often do they reoccur.

As a problem when the very first costumes came out, hopefully there is a stopping mechanism to prevent you from purchasing a costume for a hero who you do not have the base hero of.

While it looks like the devs chose Lionstring the Astral Elven Weaver as the spokesperson for this event (at least on the teaser), so it looks like he will act more as a traveling merchant/tailor as opposed to a mainstay, the devs should really look at long asked features such as improving the hero academy to improve HA5 and HA8 to include more choices and include the chance for their costumes. Increase the amount of simultaneous functions from 2 to 3 (wouldn’t complain if more), and to allow 4* troop retrain to include Ninja / Magic / Styx troops as possibilities.

Costumed Francine was released 3 years ago, ie. double that time. I think C-Kullervo is close won’t be available this year yet (Kalevela is around the middle of the year). There are decent options such as Costumed Sif or Costumed Heimdall; I am pretty sure I won’t pull in S3 besides using free coins, so might as well get power boost for heroes I maxed and don’t use currently much. Sadly, Alfrike had her costume released at the start of July 2023, so no costume for her this year.

Would be nice to see it released at those prices if only as an apology for years of strife

Wow!) Great news. Now those fated summons with all those old Challenge event heroes looks much more interesting.

I think about Alfrike too but she won’t be available this time. Seems it has to be at least 548 days No any toons too. I guess it’s gazelle for me
