šŸ§Ŗ Early Information on the September 2019 HOTM (Grazul, formerly Nadnog)

Agree with this, thereā€™s a reason you donā€™t see many aeron tanks, which nadnog is similar to in ways.

You are right, thatā€™s a fact all good players know about. But in the less strong alliances, where the members still play as tank busters and cleaners, the tank is easier to take out if is not a healer. Itā€™s very difficult for a tank buster to take out a very fast healer. All I say here, on forum, is for not so experienced players. The strong players and alliances, donā€™t need advices  I prefer healers as tank too. Itā€™s easy to beat such teams for an experienced player.

Wouldnā€™t the same argument be true for every underpowered hero in the game? If played poorly against, they can perform well. If you only drop bad tiles on Thorne and let him go off 3-4x he can wipe out pretty much an entire enemy team, especially at low level.

True. But a tank buster must have at least 3 heroes of opposite colour. And if has good board, smashes out the middle, because is not a healer. When the board is bad, that goes wrong for everybody, no matter the tank

Nadnog is 100% not a tank. Some people stuck Nad there in beta. It did not seem effective to me.

With only 10% it is not, agreed.

But like I said, for smaller alliances, itā€™s excelent. There are thousands perhaps, where the players have 3-4 attacks of 6, with power 2200-2800. What can they do with a such team against a very fast healer? And if the defenses have a Triton too, theyā€™re screwed :))

The heal is less than a tileā€™s worth of damage off a 3-stack. Extending your longevity by less than a tile isnā€™t my idea of a transformative special for a tank :man_shrugging:

You are right, of course. Still, the most players, with the weak attack teams at war, may find very difficult such a hero, with a defense over 800, who triggers very fast. I refer only to them and only speaking for wars.

Advocating balancing a hero around misplays by people who would be unlikely to be facing a maxed version of the hero anyhow due to matchmaking is the height of insanity.

Which heroes will benefit from seshatā€™s 4% mana gain?

They will need additional levelled mana troops right? No one can shave a tile with just 4%?

Iā€™m kinda thinking sheā€™d be really effective on offence in a red stack. Tile the tank and then the heal but most effective is probably the ā€œno status effectsā€ for the next two turns ( as the ai randomly fires into your immunity) She might be well served with attack emblems as well.

Imo she seems good as she is right now. I would however probably increase immunity she gives to 3 turns. Just to buff her in defense a little bit since for very fast mana 3 turns are usually needed for mana to fill up when you are having bad tiles.

Yeah but I donā€™t see it happeningā€¦ SG wonā€™t risk another Guin situation if that made her too powerfull. Thing I like about very fast heroes like Cage and GM is it only takes three tiles ghosted to charge them. So with any kind of board 3 turns would be a lifetime especially later on when the defense thins. But honestly could you see Anzogh on clean up hits in war?.. be pretty easy victory

I struggle to see the power in her as is. 6 tiles for a 135 point heal (MAYBE, assuming that damage was taken by that hero in the 3ish turns taken to charge her). Based on the numbers alone it is fairly clear that she isnt meant to be a primary healer, she simply doesnt heal enough. She seems intended to buoy your more important heroes in times of slow starts enough that theyā€™re able to fire before dying, except she doesnā€™t heal enough or typically charge at an ideal time to accomplish the stated task. Sheā€™d be perfect for the role if she had a defense buff like Victor rather than the debuff block or simply healed a bit more.

To me the thing sheā€™s got going for her is the debuff block. Only 2 turns, but very fastā€¦ donā€™t like the sound of that, addicted to Hel as I am :>. Aeron is annoying enough and this lady protects the entire team.

Alternatively, drop her to fast mana and up her to 20-25% no secondary effect

I donā€™t think even with Tritonā€™s 49% and troop healing bonus of say 18% is really going to make her unbeatable at tank. Instead of healing for 10%, she heals for 16.7% so itā€™ll be roughly one more tile in a mono team to two more tiles in a 3 stack? Just ballparking the numbers off the top of my head.

Keep in mind that Aeronā€™s block is undispellable. Nadnogā€™s is not.

But Iā€™m assuming that is probably due to charging very fast since she could go in an unstoppable state of immunity otherwise.

Gravyā€™s DoT is dispellable and lasts for 2 turns but thanks to his very fast mana your cleanser just canā€™t catch up with him.
