🧪 Early Information on the Path of Valor [Part of the Beta Beat v25 & v26]

Rumor says snow on base but no holiday lights or sleigh so probably December 1st is the target.

Unfortunately even Devs do not know if a stationary or moving target

I dont mind putting in time and effort for rewards. I resent paying cash to make my rewards not suck.

I thought daily summons tokens expire? Can you keep those as long as you want, like epic coins?

So if I am reading this portion correctly. You could wait until the last day of the Valor Event to decide if the premium rewards are worth the Premium Valor Pass purchase, and still receive the rewards?

Yeah, that’s what I feared this was going to be.

Yes it seems everything new is designed mire towards the p2w thus I give it 12 months and that’s pretty much the only players that will be left here, lol.

But all looks interesting

Yeah, an escalation would encourage strong teams to prey on weak teams rather than taking on other strong teams in the war. That is detrimental to one’s alliance. And those dedicated tank busters get hosed over.

The free daily summons are time limited, as you have to use them each day, but the tokens can be saved as long as you want.

I’ve personally hoarded them multiple times, to a maximum of 400 at once.

It seems so.

This is typical for this sort of feature, from my understanding, and is a common marketing strategy.

“Look at all this good loot you’re about to miss out on if you don’t buy the Valor Pass!” is roughly the idea.

You talking emblems? Or you could see the “scope” you were rng-ed and be like… sure I’ll pay now… or hey not sure I need another axe for $4.99 “screw it”

This is nice. Gives a good opportunity to not throw down cash at the start without knowing if juice is worth the squeeze. I am excited to see how this new feature unfolds. I can definitely see both sides of p2p and f2p. I consider myself c2p as I enjoy the game alot. So spending a little to be able to be a little more competitive is worth it to me.

Kinda like the special offers they sell every once in awhile now… but you have to do 50 days of farming… wait it’s situation what we all pretty much do now.

Lol like a 50 day long titan/monster/hero chest

I’m going to start a new thread topic now… “ has anyone noticed they have nerfed Valor chest loot lately?”

Amusing jokes aside, I just wanted to clarify that there’s no RNG to the Path of Valor loot in the current implementation.

You can see all of the loot and the amount of Valor Points required at all times.

So I would assume the loot should be pretty enticing for value-price if you do the requirements… kinda like the “if we can get you to spend” type thing. Might not be bad then

It’s only worth it if it gives non farmable 3 or 4 stars ascension materials. Otherwise it seems like minor quests rewards and not worth the effort.

Interesting stuff. Some of the challenge things seem interesting, and several will probably be relatively easy for me to complete. But others just seem… ugh.

Like for example.

Use 5 antidotes? Easy. I probably have over 1000 of those.

Level up 5 different heroes? Uhh… okay, does it count if I just feed heroes to other heroes, or do their levels have to actually go up? It’s obviously going to be easier to level up a level 1 than a level 65. But I could always just exploit by leveling up Aifes with other Aifes.

Victorious in 10 raids? Okay, now you’re asking me to potentially have to use flasks… annoying.

Find 30 recruits… easy.

Craft 50 battle items… well I have a few thousand common herbs laying around so I can always craft more minor potions that I’ll never use.

Summon X number of heroes: I’m assuming that TCs don’t count. So I’ll just have to hope that I’ll earn enough gems and tokens in that time.

Ascend 5 heroes to level 2… heh… again, I guess I can just exploit and ascend a bunch of Aifes. Pointless, dumb, but whatever, if the rewards are good enough, I’ll go for it.

Summon X number of troops… now that’s just unfair. Unless you’re including troops that I pick up from province quests. I very rarely get ETTs, there are no common troop tokens, and I’m not going to buy troops. So the very idea of that gets a big fat :-1: x1000 from me.

Kill 5 heroes in an Alliance War… yeah I could do that blindfolded. Next.

Challenge event… easy.

Win raids with X class hero… easy.

These “small bundle” rewards seem practically worthless though. 10,000 iron? Ooooh great, now I only need 9,999,990,000 more iron to level up my building. Geeeee thanks!

Then the icing on the cake, you tell me that I can get more stuff if I spend more money. I already purchased a full year’s worth of VIP, now you’re practically giving VIP away with bonus gems to boot, and I’m supposed to buy another thing to get “Valor”. Shouldn’t “Valor” be included in VIP? I’m confused. Are there now two tiers of VIP? Does purchasing “Valor” also give you VIP, and vice versa, or do you have to purchase them each separately? Is it better to be “Valiant” vs. “Very Important”, or am I now expected to spend extra money to be both, VVIP?

As usual, when it comes to new features rolled out in this game… I like the general concept, but wary about the execution.

Daily Summon Tokens and free daily summons can yield Troops, and they count toward the Challenge.

You earn multiple at once.

There’s been some discussion of this in the Beta feedback, so it’s possible it may change. The nice thing about the 10k is that it’s a small enough unit that you can use them easily without worrying about overfilling your Storage — i.e. 20x 10k vs. 2x 100k makes it a little easier to top up when needed.

The annoying thing is lots of button pressing if you want to use a bunch at once.
