This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the December 2024 HOTM, Faeona

All Information from Beta is Subject to Change!

Don’t get attached

Details from beta, especially brand-new beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual hero release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes are changed during beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to stats to be made.

Or: How many summons are needed to get a HOTM?

Special thanks to @Garanwyn for assistance on summoning odds and proofreading for this section.

It’s important to remember that HOTM have very low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a HOTM.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 12.3% chance of summoning the HOTM.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 73 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 100
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 229
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 352

Putting that in Perspective

  • 27 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 100th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 100 times, 270,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 229th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 229 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

Thanks PFF, and this looks interesting healer though not that strong.

Basically, this guy when it first cast special, it will give +15% immediate mana, plus +15% mana gen, so perhaps a bit faster than average, and will reach “fast” after.

Compare to Chloris, this guy can be faster eventually, but lack other effects e.g. Chloris attack boost,

but its +30% heal, actually make this guy a good pair with Chloris (or other over-healer) for a double healer team

It looks like we are back to the usual garbage after the one-month exception of Chloris

This is interesting.

If she fully stack is +50% mana ? Then she will be fast hero after 4 castings.

After first charge, she gives herself 3 buffs, so with her passive, she immidately got 15% mana = 16.95% with lego&class bonus

This make her special only needs
10 tiles

With only 1 charge (+15% mana stack+ class bonus, + lego troop)
She will need only 8 tiles for the 2nd charge

With 2 charges (+30% mana stack+ class bonus, + lego troop )
She will need only 7 tiles for the 2nd charge

With 3 charges, lego troop is not enough for 6 tiles but magic/styx will do (+45% mana stack+ class bonus, + troop )

edit her class is sorcerer, so 0.04 bonus not 0.02, but the results should be the same as above

Hope her skills do not amend but improvement is always welcomed.

This HOTM seems… selfish? Nothing too exciting.

The usual garbage December HOTM. Now with so many hero in Xmas portal, the pool is so diluted is not even worth trying.

Nothing special in regular mode. In VF though she can be pretty annoying tank. Keep in mind her special gives her 3 mana stacks to speed her up, which like Slayers will speed her up beyond VF in VF mode, so she’ll be able to heal faster than Toon Vivica. Count in that she get 5% mana for every buff she gets (7.5% with maximum stacks) and that she resists mana reductions and she can be really annoying staller. She will get also more mana from Ludwig’s buff because of those stacks. Thankfully, she lacks Toon passive that makes Vivica more annoying, so you can slap heal block on her and be done with her.
