đŸ§Ș Early Information on the June 2020 HOTM (Raffaele)

This is actually not a bad idea. Give him 15-20% resurrect chance after the 50% hp restore comes up and he is a mini blue Alby. Definitely might take away from all those Telly / Vela pairings

Or
 We would have Raffelle/GM/Tellu/Vela/Jabber build

Yeah, you’re missing the whole point. Two heroes can be compared despite being of different elements. It’s really not that big of a deal to do so, nor is it difficult to understand.

They don’t want another overpowered disaster. Throw a mana pot at Wilbur too and your heroes can survive a titan slash attack.

This hero has been all over the place and still feel like he needs work.

I do not understand why you would want a resistance to attack ailments on this hero. The resistance is a complete mismatch to the heroes role. Furthermore as a monk he already has a mini resistance to ailments. This hero is more in need of a more synergetic resistance that would complement his speed and skill. Examples are immune to mana cut, mana reduction, silence etc. One of those.

The numbers of the heal are there. Dispels are also great to have so I think a tweak to make the skill harder to mana control would be the push this hero needs to become worth ascending.

From THE healer himself to just a meh

sad but true

Could be.

But green is already many people’s default mode against Telluria / Vela (mine included). This would only make it stronger.

Generally, yes. But King_Kyree77’s point was, that they wouldn’t make HotMs too strong so people would spend less on event summons. And literally nobody would ever think: Nah, I already got Evelyn so I don’t really need to summon for Panther this month
or the other way around, no matter who of them might be slightly better. You’re really missing the whole point and it’s not difficult to understand :kissing_heart:

Yeah, I read that and thought

“Okay. So it’s a 5* healer.”

Cool, I guess? But kind of underwhelming for a HotM.

Yeah, like so many others (and better imho ones)

I don’t get the argument that SG are trying to avoid duplicating old heroes’ skill sets in order to protect the older heroes. Surely the point is to provide something different because what is the point of a bunch of heroes who look different but are effectively identical to existing characters, sometimes even the same element? I don’t see it as protecting Ariel so people still buy Ariel, but avoiding being like Ariel because she already exists. If they can tempt us with both they’re truly quids in.

I think the change from masses of heals at very slow to not so many heals at slow is probably in the right direction overall, as a very slow healer will surely charge so seldom that you’re better off bringing an extra damage dealer instead. However, you’re probably right that they have overdone the trimming down again, and given him stuff he doesn’t need to make up for it.

The challenge in development is to find a unique skill or combination that actually works but isn’t so perfect that all other options fall by the wayside. Opinions differ, of course, as to how successful they’ve been: from Telluria, unique and almost undefeatable (properly levelled and with the right supporting cast), to Margaret, unique but, well, pretty much pointless; and all shades in between. A healer who resists debuffs on something he isn’t expected to do in the first place is unique all right but
 eh what?

Why would it become a threat, diverse healers are always welcome. Healers with dispel, cleanse, minion, direct or DoT, reviver. All kind is needed.

I will be happy if I got this HotM, even though he might be bad he is still a healer and I will max him. Of course I hope he get buff.

Guys we are not making us any favors by railing this thread offtopic. Create a new thread and discuss other issues there.

As for Raffaele’s dissapointed attack resistance passive, sure it’s far from good not even average. But after seeing JF’s life steal passive we can’t say that Raffaele has the worst one in the game.

I agree
this should be Resist from burn or def down at least

this hero would be better used with medium mana like this now is useless because until he takes away the mana the whole team is dead

I wouldn’t use him for defense but bring him along with my blue stacks against Tellie (including Ariel). Maxed mana troop helps Ariel charge for 9 tiles, then she would give Raffaele +24% mana boost (I won’t mention my Snow White here since she’s super rare). Raffaele could help salvage your red guys from ‘the flood’ and turn the table around in a heartbeat. Right after that, the +30% defense (WHY NOT still +64%???) against Special Skills (undispellable) would make the likes of Seshat, Joon, Finley, Jabberwock’s skills mediocre at best.

Damn I wanted to comment something snarky on that but you guys already did it. But yeah, even without pathetic attack his resist would be near useless given his purely defensive special.

He might be useful to those who don’t have any 5* healer. But even for me, who has two 5* slow healers he does not look that appealing. He can heal nearly dead heroes to full in few turns, but otherwise does not do much. I rather stick with my Costume Viv who can be also made average speed or Marie-ThĂ©rĂšse who is very cool to play because she has SNAKE! And ZOMBIES!

Special defense buffs are a much weaker version of a normal defense buff. So Seshat, Joon others snipers are still hitting you like a truck. I’m not saying is a usless buff, just pointing out that the Truck is still running you over, only difference now is that you will be wearing a helmet.

I’m very interested in this Hotm mainly becuase I do not have any 5* pure healer heroes. But if he stays this way, I dont see any reason to use my resources to pull him. When you have heroes like Tell, Clarisse comming out (in the sense that the devs still crunk out OP or really good heroes). I much rather wait another 5/6 months for the next Hotm healer to come.

I liked his previous version better, but this version still seems OK?

Would people be inclined to like him if the top line read:

Heals all allies who have less than 50% HP left to 60% health.

Or do people just want Kiril buffs

Would be interested to hear an analysis as to why the hating is strong here
