That last few nodes at 125 and 250 emblems might push some to buy the golden emblems offers. I know most long time ftp/ctp players have lots of emblems but anyone under 2 years like me is often shuffling emblems around. I like the idea. Only finished 2 5* S1 heroes because of costumes.
Good point. I havenât emblemed even one 5* hero to +20 because of those 250 emblems. I prefer having 2 heroes +18 than one +20. Iâm not sure if that will change with this buff (for me). I havenât got even one tome of golden emblems since they were added.
That means for example i will lose my +4% mana node for a higher chance of Jinx for my Quintus? will this affect his monk class costume too? that i will lose my +4% mana node for higher chance of withstand?
It wonât cancel the last node effect. It will just upgrade a class talent effect when you emblem your hero to +20.
I think it is an interesting change for sure and it is a little improvement for people that use S1 heroes anyway. I don´t think it will make anyone throw out their Khufu to put in an Azlar/Khagan though. So SG is giving a little buff to make people happy, but they at the same time protect their income by making sure that the new OP heroes still way outclass S1 heroes. Which is understandable and I would do the same if I owned a company lol.
Everybody saying they hope it stays in S1: It´s already left S1 and moved to costumes and especially the new uber-costumes.
The big benefit of this change is still to increase revenue for SG, because it buffs the new second costumes right at the time when they come out lol. Crazy Quintus apparently wasn´t strong enough yet, so here you go, buff the monster!
And of course it also means people will spend more money on emblems now as they try to get to node 20 instead of leaving them on 18 or wherever they had them before.
If SG had wanted to be nice (but why would they if it doesn´t earn them money?) they could have given the emblem buff from node 1 not only upon reaching node 20.
So to sum it up: This is not a QoL change at all, it´s a change to increase revenue. But as far as those changes go it´s one of the better ones, that at least has a little benefit for the little people as opposed to things like double costumes who only benefit the big spenders that actually get those.
And as far as my personal take away: I love my 4 star heroes where some S1 and S1 costumes still have been competitive. This change makes them even better and the lower emblem costs on 4 star heroes means many of my heroes already have 20 emblems, so it will be a buff at zero cost for me. I may redirect some more emblems from 3/5 star heroes to 4 stars to max out a few more of them.
As to 5 stars: I haven´t upgraded S1 heroes before and I will not now. The whole package of speed/skills/passives/family boni/stats vs emblem bonus just doesn´t make much sense. Costumes are a whole different story though. They will shine, but I don´t have any of the good ones, so there is thatâŚ
No golden emblems here either. I do the same thing. Most of my heroes are nodes 17-19 and started stripping 3* and 4*. Interesting choices but I wonât be buying golden emblems. Maybe some of the smaller offers so it will take time and thatâs ok!
As @Sorvina has written it will be just and extra uppon the regular node at level 20.
So nothing will be lost.
In my opinion this is just very innovative way of balancing S1 heroes, this way the powercreep wonât affect them as much as if they only just buffed their stats and specials once again, because if they did that, those buffs would be irrelevant in a matter of time anyway, and people would ask for more buffing once again. And this also affects people who are lucky to have costumes too, not just the people who are stuck using only base S1 heroes. So win-win for everyone, IMO. Im very excited about this, and I really hope they wonât make any changes there.
Only downside about this is, we will now have to be afraid when this happens to S2/Seasonal/event heroes etc. too. Well, S2 heroes could maybe go with this, they are getting pretty old, those without costumes and not the newest additions. But I would still rather have this only for S1 heroes, and their costumes.
This talent buff came when 2nd costumes are being released for S1 heroes.
My guess is that the talent buff will be extended to S2 and older event heroes when they get their 2nd costumes. If Zynga can wait that long.
Good post Gargon. I quoted above because this move was made to help ftp players at least compete a little better in diamond tier raids. I doubt any of the season 1 boosted heroes would replace any of the newer heroes, but it will add some variety in the defenses we see which is good.
Sure 99% of changes by SGG are revenue based, but really what corporation doesnât do that? And to see a change for whatever reason, this 100% benefits those players who donât spend much. I applaud that because everything else it so whale-centric.
fighter is stoopid so now wolfgang can singlehanded take out a team cause he always revives at least 3 times
Nicos by the time it spreads to CoK Wolfgang wonât look like a world beater, would certainly raise his relevance when it expands to their family but thatâs a long ways off⌠Costume will be before that I bet.
Thatâs true so how cJoon 2x or regular Magni 2x CB. They can take out at least 2-3 easily.
Honestly, you have a better chance of winning a raid with all S5 4* at 20 nodes vs the newly powered 20 emblemed than to take 5 S1 hereos at 20 vs 5 S5 hereos. It wont be close because SnG wont buff the hereos the way they need to be buffed and thats in the stats.
This is another way of justifying you spending $$$$ for a buff. If you think that 80 point difference in power isnt much, try winning with 4 star hereos vs 5* heroes using a rainbow team. Good luck
Again, this is a step in the right direction but its a way to justify us spending $$$$$
In a raid you probably wonât be using a pile of s1s, I think this is more applicable in war where you need multiple teams⌠And unless if you are fighting at the top level you wonât be facing only teams full of s5 heroes⌠So that 80 point per heroes spread isnât going to be every single hero, maybe a couple but you adjust the target to the power you have remaining. I wouldnât take on the biggest team with a s1 crew, but maybe a smaller target.
This is only for the classic heroes we all moan at when they come out of the portals.
I never moan. Itâs Soul Food for the Soul Exchange!
See Draerius response on it coming to Wolfgang
I am looking forward fighting base BT with Superior talent. 2 revives and he heals everyone even if he had 0 mana at his first demise.
Also Druid may look weak but consider he gets essentially 25% HP boost half of time theyâre hit, up to 75% extra HP (that also do some damage). Theyâll make excellent tanks.
Is nice to see a improvement to the S1 heroes . Butt when someone do something wrong , they try to fix it and they not get it wright, they will try again, still not be OK . A balance ĂŽs a balance . And unfortunatly the game ĂŽs way aut of the balance . If developers want to improve the game make it in the wright way , not in wrong way.
