This is an unacceptable nerf version. SG needs to give proper compensation, not just a “small gift.”

I didn’t say “try”, I said - they WILL use them. Just like in this tournament. No healing? No problem! There’s Tell with her minions to provide meat shield! Bring her on, even if you completely take away one of the special skills! Rush attack tournament? Bring her on! Only the luckiest one will fire before she cripple mana generation! All around girl! Ok, I admit many will use Alfrike in this tourney as a tank. My argument is: she will be at the top after adjustment. I don’t see a point discussing why with you. Sorry, you just don’t want to see that she’s way better than any other hero. That the huge saturation is because she’s way better. Simple as that.

Why would that be a bad thing? It would be nice to introduce that sort of token into the game in general, even if they’re super rare.

As I see, many complain not even about Tell’s strength, but about its quantity.
There is a certain amount of truth in this. SG sold a lot of Tella.
Probably after weak diamond sales, when players did not want to buy them to catch a weak Neith or boring Grimble, SG decided to increase sales and released tempting strong characters. See what a strong hero! Buy crystals and try to get it, buy more, more!
And people bought a lot more, and the players in the mass have much more Tell and Vela than the hero Neith. SG oversaturated the market with good heroes, and made others unclaimed. Getting new heroes and ascension items is extremely difficult.
Even if Tella and Vela ruin beyond recognition, you will still see them everywhere, because they were bought too much, more than uninteresting HOTM. And there is no one to replace them, especially for players who are recently in the game.

We make a mistake when talking about the balance of heroes within the playing field. Everyone forgets that the main balance, which is really important for the SG, is the economic balance. We don’t want the SG to go broke, having lost a huge share of payments from deceived players.
If the market is oversaturated with one product, the best way to reduce the price of unpopular products (in our case is to increase the chances of getting other heroes for various teams), or to improve the quality of an unpopular product (in this case, increase the characteristics of old heroes to make them competitive). Or release a new best product (powerful new heroes). Instead of a red powerful hero who could resist Tell, they release a stunted musketeer who does not even pump direct damage, farts weakly. Instead of a blue tank competing with Tell, an anemic Raffaele comes out, who will die before someone is cured.

But no reasonable manufacturer would ever think of spoiling a good popular product in order to diversify the market.
The company producing sports shoes will not pour broken glass into their sneakers, because athletes win in them, and athletes in wooden galoshes lose.
Why demand to pour broken glass into the shoes of Tell and Vela, if this ruins the company. Make the SG better, demand new good heroes and increase the chances of getting old ones, as well as simplify getting ascension items to make it easier to change heroes.
