This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the Round 4 of the Journey Hero - Xiwangmu.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Special Skill, line 1

They (SGG) are working you too hard. They need to slow down

Thx, I have fixed this too.

I have faced a few in beta and the damage for resurrection is your death sentence. Will be the strongest hero for Rush of all the heroes.

Does Kravekrush block her skill before and after she fires?

What is the big difference to Green Knight?

  • All enemies get -24% defense for 3 turns.
  • Deals 235% damage to all enemies.
  • If the caster dies during the next 5 turns, they are resurrected in the beginning of their next turn with 40% health, and 655 damage is dealt to all enemies. All status effects and stacks are removed when the caster dies.

And GK hasn’t been received as any game changer

Happy gaming

Buff block, buff steal, priority dispel
that’s it

Looks like a weaker Green Knight.

I actually prefer Green Knight here, but, nice to have a reviver in another colour I suppose :man_shrugging:

Good question, I’ll test this out later. I’m not super hopeful based on some past interactions

Edit: Kravekrush can prevent her buff from applying in the first place.

Edit2: Xiwangmu can have both her revive buff and Kravekrush’s revive blocking at the same time. After dying she revived. I submitted a beta bug.

Edit3: this is working as intended

If Zhabog (or other with the same passive, I don’t know it there are) is present, does Xiwangmu have a 50% chance of reviving or is it still 100%?

Also, all that Kravekrush stuff really sounds like a bug, he should be able to prevent resurrection even if the other effect is already present.

The 100% critical chance is huge. It’s really fun and I hope I get her

This hero will be insane on defense. Critical does 2x damage. Knowing how hard heroes hit nowadays

Attack stack for all wow - this hero should be known as Titan Bane.

What’s the difference between critical attack and +100% normal attack (skill from say Tarlak), they both do double tile damage but critical attack also does double special attack damage?

Heard back from the beta bug thread. This is working as intended because resurect <> revive.

Essentially, the first point in Kravekrush’s Special Skill prevents Heroes from ‘reviving’. As Xiwangmu, Tyr, Atomo, Nadezhda etc ‘resurrect’, this is a separate mechanic from reviving. Hence, the interactions between Kravekrush and Xiwangmu are working as intended.

I found the explanation to be clear. I found the intention to be specifically considered.

It’s still confusing to the players, as Kravekrush puts an icon that’s literally the resurrect wings greyed out and crossed out.

I’d also like to point out that the translation is inconsistent in Spanish and very likely other languages as well. In Spanish, “resucitar” is used for reviving allies and resurrecting oneself. The text on Kravekrush’s first icon reads “No se puede resucitar ni hacer que lo hagan los aliados”, which translates literally “cannot resurrect [itself] or let allies do it”.

Xiwangmu is maybe the coolest hero I’ve tested. So unique and powerful. I hope she stays as is.
