This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the Round 2 of Lunar New Year Heroes.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

I have added them bellow to each hero’s dropdown.

ah, we’re going “backwards” in the cycle now! Ox is #2, Dragon is #5. so I guess we will meet in the middle somewhere.

Is Ox supposed to have two passives while Drogon has only one? Though Ox is slow, so maybe to balance it out …

Seeing Ox have 2 passives, I was curious if the Lunar Heroes were gonna get a buff in general. My Xiaotu would be MARVELOUS with a heal on debuff passive!

It used to be every new epic 3 star red hero was slow. It’s now been passed on to all the recent Yellows, sloooooooow. Variety E&P. variety!

Too many slow yellow … hope it will be changed.

Qinglong’s artwork is beautiful, at least in my opinion. As someone who has multiple dragons tattooed on them, I really want that card. Don’t care anything else about it lol

Ergo the question I had about the possibility of an Ox being power crept to be stronger than Tiger and Dragon if they had continued the release order when Dragon should have been overall the strongest out of all zodiac animals, and rat / rabbit would have been amongst the weakest ones.

Is the Ox having two passives instead of the Dragon’s one $GG’s answer about compensating?

I wonder if this is in line with the original concept of said Zodiac. While yes, the Dragon is a mythical animal and could be considered to have magical powers, when applied to human beings (i.e., what star sign are you born under), there is no “strong” or “weak”. Each sign has its own strengths and weaknesses and traits, after all…

I have never, ever in my life heard of someone being told or judged to be “weaker” because they were born under a certain sign…
