Judging by the monster hunter heroes in beta, it looks like weāre getting a future Monster Island event, just like in SGās other match-3 Puzzle Combat. They also have monster hunter heroes that go with that event.
Interestingā¦ how about S3 5* should be there isntead of S1 5*ā¦ oh wait letās stop dreaming haha

This is just me, but the price is fineā¦if they get rid of the other crap theyāre trying to put in with it. If the costumes came with the heroes they were featuring from the past, it would be a different story but this is another attempt to get to the whales. All the other heroes theyāre featuring are nothing more than feeders for the SE for anyone that has been playing this for a while

Iām going to echo most of the sentiment in here about the big jump in gem cost for pulls here. Did these costumes cost more to produce which is causing the inflation? Or is the strength of the new heroes 25% stronger than all the other released heroes? Either way it really feels like a slap in the face. I donāt mind the cost increase for products and food items that are costing more for all the labor and inventory expensesā¦but what are we actually getting for the bump? More quality of life changesā¦those are rarely given in every update, most changes are for fixing bugs.
Iām perplexed, this is really leaving a sour taste in the mouth in many of my alliance mates, and I donāt think the path E&P is taking lends itself to people wanting to play moreā¦quite the opposite in fact.

So currently there is only a .53% chance to get one of the new 5s heroes currently? And they are only releasing 2 new heroes at first? Even at 300 gems it would be a big pass for me unless the new heroes are atleast 1%.

Pros of the new event: itās only ten stages and not a whole week of levels to grind through. Curious about the raid mechanic. Could be different, could be a nightmare.
Iāll take it as a Tavern 2.0, but with a bunch of new heroes iāll never get along all the older (and not s1) ones. Iāll play it to spend some time, will waste the free pulls on a Ulmer and a Berden and then move on. No expectations, no hopes, and hopefully not too much time to spend on it.
Portal and the tp recommendation look awful though-

Iāve been playing for over 4 years. Pengi and the 2 hunter heroes are the only reason I would ever pull this portal. The odds of getting those specific heroes are so insanely low that I wouldnāt pay the old gem price, let alone the ridiculous new price.

I didnāt read a thing. I just wanted to see what was going to be in the portal. It has S1 heroes in it. Throw it in the trash. Donāt even care about the new heroes or the non-S1 non-Event-specific heroes. All of them can also go in the trash.

Agreed, and with no Monster Hunter 3/4 stars as a part of the portal there are no 3/4 stars I donāt already have or where others cannot obtain them from many other portals for fewer gems (Hero Academy 8 also provides many of these 4 stars). As for the 5 stars there are only 7 I do not already have so the odds of pulling anything other than feeders here is slim to none. The game play looks fun and challenging but I will not be spending any gems and, if I summon at all, it will only be with free Covenant Coins. I will probably just save the coins so when they finally drop the 3/4 star Monster Hunters I will use them then.
No summon for me with this lineup, especially not gems. Out of the entire portal there are only 7 heroes I donāt already have (and none than cannot be summoned elsewhere for fewer gems excepting the 2 new ones) so the odds of pulling anything but feeders is slim to none. If they would put the Monster Hunter 3/4 stars into the mix there would, at least, be something to shoot for but, not in this configuration. And nix the S1 heroes all together, I would rather get trainers, but even with that modification I wonāt do any pulls. Save the coins for when they do put the 3/4 stars in and pull for free. The event looks fun but the summon portal is a big dud.

Well, the setup of the event itself is somewhat interesting.
And that is by far the best thing I can say about it. Even ignoring the ridiculous price increase for pulls, this will easily the worst hero portal by far. And that includes the 2 new heroes. And the bonus chest gives you crafting material and not ascention mats? L-O-L.
Seriously, is this some sort of a joke from the devs? Like an early April fools prank or something? Not to be over the top, but this is borderline insulting.
