🧪 Early Information on Amulets [Part of The Beta Beat V47]

NOTE: Please do not, under any circumstances, share IMAGES OR VIDEOS from Beta in this or any public Forum thread. Violations can cause players to lose their Beta accounts, or threads to be closed down.

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on Amulets, which are special items what you can use during playing Season 5 stages.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

The launch date for Season 5 has been shown as 2022-04-21T06:00:00Z in the previous Beta version.

Amulets

Overview

Unlocking Amulets

Those stages which grants you new Amulets or increases your opened Amulet Slot count are marked with a special icon.
Those stages which are unlocking a new Amulets or an Amulet slots can not be replayed for the first time, as after the Rewards screen is closed a new screen is opened, where you are notified about what have you unlocked.
The title of this screen is: New Amulets Unlocked or New Amulet Slot unlocked (or both under each other.)
And you can see the unlocked items icon, name and description here.

These Amulets are granted for you free once you completing specific Provincies.

There is a quick tutorial shown to you about Amulets after finishing Province 1 for the first time.

Amulet Inventory

The Amulets are stoted in a special inventory, which is accessable from the Season V map.
You can also see your currently selected Amulets and the available slot count on there too.

If you click on the Amulet panel on the map, then the Amulet Invetory open.
On top section of this screen you see your selected Amulet(s), while on the bottom you see the selectable Amulets.
If there is a free slot, then you can equip the Amulet by clicking on it.
If there is no free slot, and you want to select another one instead of it, then need to unequip one first by click on the Amulet you want to unequip, and after that you need to click on the Amulet you want to use instead of the previous one.

If you want, then you Battle without any Amulets. In order to do it you need to unequip all Amulets.

Before you enter a Season V Battle between your heroes and the battle items, you can see a small Amulet panel too, where you also access the Amulet Inventory Screen to change/equip Amulets if you want.

Checking selected Amulets during the battles

During the fight you can very which Amulet(s) are using by clicking on the Amulet related icon on the left.

If you click on it, then this message is shown:

Well I just said the stage properties could be an annoyance. But maybe this equals it out. It looks like we have a negative effect and then we get to essentially choose our own positive effect.

So maybe this isn’t an annoyance, but more of a new way to introduce strategy. I’m willing to give it a try. I hope no one views each of these threads separately though because you’ll get a skewed viewpoint as I first did.

Ankh looks like a good way to get by without a healer potenitally.
Was sceptre I don’t see myself using as much, unless I’m autofarming for speed. I think I’d prefer one of the other two for safety.
Udjat Eye: this stands out to me as a way to slow down powerful bosses. Both attack down and slower mana makes it easier for me to autofarm those bosses. Is there a limit to these stacks? I’m guessing they cap out at 10. There may not be a reason to have a cap, but it will make the fight easier the longer it goes.
Tjet: everyone likes mana. I haven’t been a huge fan of the mana gain every 5 turns in towers, so I’m not sure I’ll like this too much, but it will be the favorite for many.

The only thing that concerns me is if they get greedy, open a pucking amulets portal and let us use those things in every game mode.

Like pay to summon a +200% mana generation and +50% ATK amulet to each hero. That would be a total ship.

If they keep it on season V it will be cool. Anything new to seasons gameplay is welcome since we get bored in middle of seasons 3 and 4.

good news that (it seems) every player can get the same amulets just by completing stages! I was worried it would be a purchasable or random drop type item!

C2p so happy to see this also. Thanks for all you do.

This is great it’s like bringing the best part of the tower quests (blessings) to map play. Bravo!

Costumes were first introduced for S1 only. I think I’d be surprised if they don’t do it down the track. :face_with_monocle:

I like this concept. It is a little like blessings in tower events, but it sounds like you can have a little more flexibility. It also gives more appeal to the S5 stages, as you can’t port these elsewhere.

Beta update:

I have updated the OP with the details about Amulets.

Three amulet spots is interesting. It looks like this season will have punishing rules but also buffs to go along with it. Almost sounds like some of the tower mechanics.

I love the idea of the amulets; like others have said, they seem like the blessings in the towers, which are the thing that make the towers enjoyable.

That said, are they like the blessings? Once earned, they stay with you for all SV battles? Or are they one time use like crafts?

Sounds interesting … from may initial read thus far…

Season-5 curiosity increases…

You have a special Amulet Inventory, where your Amulets are stored.
You can have exacly one from each of them.
They can not be crafted.
Once you getting one, then it will stay in your Amulet Inventory forever.

Based on your Amulet slot size you can choose which Amulets do you want to use for the next battle.

Thank you!

So, if I understand correctly…

Once you earn an amulet, it’s yours forever. Using it doesn’t consume the amulet, you can use it as often as you like.

And you can use multiple amulets per level, like the tower blessings, assuming you’ve earned multiple amulets. Unlike the towers, you have to choose which amulets to take into a level, and you have a limited number of slots?

Yes, correct, it will stay forever. It will not be consumed.

There will be only 3 Amulets slots maximum, but at start of Province 1 none of those is unlocked.

After completing Province 1 you can bring 1 Amulets for the Season V battles.
After completing Province 3 you can bring 2 Amulets for the Season V battles.
(Somewhere later you will able to bring 3 Amulets maximum with you.)

Using Amulets will have other benefits as there are Missions tied to them.
(After X succesful battles with a specific Amulet you will get some reward.)
(Once I have completed those missions I will update the Gameplay topic for them or I will create a new one for these.)
