How does Elena’s counterattack work alongside her “evade” talent when she’s wearing her costume?
Does she dodge specials, taking no damage from and returning no damage to her attacker—or does she dodge specials, take no damage, and return 155% of the damage she dodged?
I assume it’s the former but would like to know for sure how she works. For those who’ve had her costume for awhile, how do you like her? Do you think she’s better as a rogue or as a fighter?
Thanks for any feedback!
I ONLY run the rogue one personally. I don’t have any emblems on her so I don’t have any issues with her dodging any specials…
I prefer the costume because there is a higher counter attack damage (155% vs. 125%) & they rebalanced her stats to reduce defence & increase HP (essentially meaning she takes more damage but returns it even more).
I also run her with Black Knight a lot cause of his Taunt… Basically FORCES the opposition to nuke themselves on the counter damage.
Black Knight & Riposte Synergy
Going to Necro this thread a little bit…
I noticed an amazing synergy for Black Knight and any Riposte Hero (by accident) in the last alliance wars…
I did an attack with BK & Elena (next to each other) and noticed that when both specials were active, the Riposte dealt back the FULL 125% of incoming strikes REGARDLESS of if BK’s Flesh Wound reduced it to 1 damage or not…
Stepping it out:
So for example, I have BK & Elena next to each other.
I fire BK’s special off, activating the Taunt & Flesh Wound, then Elena (this order so I get the attack buff on Elena).
Then say the enemy have a Magni or Joon… They charge their special up & fire it off.
BK’s Taunt Kicks in and directs the Sniping Special at himself
BK’s Flesh Wound then activates and reduces the damage received from 600 damage down to 1 damage.
Riposte (counter) then activates and sends the full 750 damage back at the sniper (joon or magni)… they die
After discovering this synergy I have adjusted my teams… Grazul got kicked outta my Red-Stack main raiding team & Elena got put in instead… It’s just too awesome to not make use of!
And my other thoughts about Costume vs. normal:
Hero Costumes… Whats the Point?
Inspired by another thread where the OP was a little confused as to why the Bane Costume was even a thing… appearing to do less damage for only a small gain in blinding… HOWEVER, on proper examination & calculating the approximate expected damage from the special skills, it became apparent that the Costume Bane was actually much better than normal bane, even when Costume Bonus was factored in!
So, after being a little bit surprised myself by the outcome I decide…
