In my roster I do as well, the Seshat isn’t leveled though. I accidentally feed a dupe Kage before I found this forum and learned that feeding 5* heroes is forbidden lol

The very fast and smashing buffs is very nice on kage… Thats why run him on left

Question about that, can he go on right flank? Because I’m putting Alby in left wing and I put Magni as left flank to buff Alby when he goes off, that 63% defense is superior for Alby. So I was hoping to put Kage in right flank instead.

yes he can but on left he mashed the buff for anyone else getting ready to fire on same round.

Hmmm…so let me ask you this, if I switch Kage to left flank because he’s very fast do you think that will add enough protection to Alby so that I can throw Magni in right flank and he can buff Marjana?

I know people will be trying so hard to take out Guin Kage will go off a couple of times, and if they shoot yellow then she will heal him and cut their mana. I love that tank/flank combo.

I would say so BUT remember I personally think Kage is KING of left flank. So ask someone maybe less loving of Kage there

But I actually see your logic and considered it, I only thought about Magni’s buff and Alby. I could definitely switch it if that’s his sweet spot.

Kages debuff before doing damage will be more helpful when more left and he hits harder, if the enemy has above 50% health.

@LadyAchilles, I actually the same situation like you, but without Guin and Kage.
Alby - Magni - Guin - Kage - Marjana
IMO, this is better for savety.
Alby - Kage - Guin - Magni - Marjana
This is only if attacker has buff earlier, and it happen so rare. Kage is very fast on right is also no problem.

Both thought processes are really good, I was thinking of safety too @jinbatsu . What I will say is that stat wise Kage is stronger than Magni so Kage on the left may last longer than Magni on the left, and based on the AI rule of specials going off L to R I can definitely see what @Olmor and @Rohn, mean. That first VF fire off while the hero’s energy is full can really set the match.
I’ve never seen Alby anywhere but left wing so I’m guessing he survives there pretty well regardless of who the flank is…

Kage is very fast so going to fire first typically anyways
Only one that will fire quicker is your tank

But on a purely theoretical without taking specific boards into account, fast flank vs v fast flank, kage will fire first left or right since he charges quicker
I would run magni left and kage right
Marjana is one of(if not the, but cant be certain off top of my head) the beefiest tc20 snipers so the defense buff isn’t a huge deal for her
And yes alby is beefy too but he’s also the bigger matchchanger so would much rather buff his defense and better increase odds of living long enough to rez
Say guin and magni die, alby resurrects
Magni goin off upon rez will be more annoying than kage going off especially if you’re board burnt(i know i said without takin boards into account but this is separate point)
Plua magni is a fighter which increases his odds of firing even if he dies
Etc etc i could keep goin but i gotta work

Yes, MN and Alby should be in left wing.
No, that saying many of use Kage in right flank over left flank, there is not better.
And, not many player too much thinking which priority in defsense and so on.

About Kage being the flank king? The same opinion I have about Seshat on the wing. The best strategy in one defense.
