Hey everyone. Back for some advice on who to level next. I have tabbards to ascend 2 purples, so let me know which two you would pick and who would come first. Details below, Thanks!
Maxed purples - Panther, Kage, Hel
Current 3.70 Purples - Kunchen, Seshat, Ursena, Marie-Therese, Aeron, Sartana, 2nd Kage (did not pull Jabberwocky this time).
Other info - Currently tanking either Guin or Aegir for raid D. My alliance switches up tank color frequently for wars, so having a purple tank would be useful.
My current offensive purple 3 stack probably wont change I freaking love the Panther/Hel/Kage synergy. So now thinking towards a secondary 3 stack in wars plus utility in defenses/titans/challenges.
I like the Ursena/Kunchen 1-2 punch and find reflect heroes fun, but Seshat is also a beast. I haven’t played with MarieT much yet. For whatever reason I keep not wanting to spend more mats on Kunchen despite how highly recommended he is. I guess I still cant get passed my bias against slow heroes. Please try and change my mind though!
TLDR: Best 2 purples to ascend to add utility to roster with Kage/Hel/Panther maxed.
Freaking crap!!! U have great choices!!! Seshat is awesome even tho I dont have her. I would go with kunchen and ursena tho seeing as they will complete your top 3 tanks. Kunchen will defense down and ursena will wreak havoc after panther in a mono raid…ouch!!! And yes panther hel and Kage together are awesome and those two will complete it since u have a purple sniper in there.
IMO, Ursena and Kunchen both is great tank, I will prefer Ursena even before update V25 (reflect against mana cut from Yellow = Guin, Neith and Li Xiu).
Thank you! That was a great idea jinbatsu. I am also curious as to whether Ursena or Kunchen is the top purple tank. I face Kunchen more frequently, but see Ursena in many of the top 100 leaderboard teams. Definitely both quality, but not sure who has the edge…
If you need a purple tank, mainly for wars, then i would go with kunchen. I personally fear Ursena more but because it is war I think Kunchen is far better. The simple reason being that if I have a limited number of Yellow heroes for a war that I will use them against anything but Ursena. At some point I will need to use a nuetral stack so best use that against Ursena anyway. Ursena’s strength lies in her ability to punish a yellow stack. I doubt she will face many yellows when used in a war defense. So kunchen wins it for me.
The second choice is a tougher one. Ursena or Seshat seem like the best choices. Which is tough. It is true that the Kunchen ursena 1-2 punch can be devastating but given their mana speeds I would say that on offense this is too hard to pull off. Ursena has better Titan utility than seshat though. Seshat on the other hand can be a one woman army in field aid wars if left in the corner. Both have their merits. I think that seshat just wins it for me because she is more useful on offense for a second purple war stack plus she is always an asset when facing Guin.
So I will vote for Kunchen first. No brainer given your roster and what you need a purple tank for. Second goes to seshat. Third would be Ursena.
Ursena can be quite OP as a tank in certain situations. I learned that by having her wipe my entire team in one shot.
Kunchen is probably my most annoying tank as he buys plenty of time for your other heroes to charge their specials. I despise him more than Guin.
The way I see it you really can’t go wrong either way. I imagine eventually both will be maxed as AM become available. So it’s a personal choice.
I just wanted to point out that I’m quite jealous of your dark hero choices. I have Hel maxed, was working on Sartana, on her last Chevron when I pulled Ursena. Unfortunately for me it was to late to take back the AM’s, but Sartana is fast and hits hard. I did need a dark sniper so I’m convincing myself it’s ok
I almost did the same thing with Kaidlen, I was about to finish her off when I pulled Kingston…luckily it was in time!!
Thanks impious. This is some really great insight. I think your thoughts combined with the poll results so far have finally convinced me I need to ascend Kunchen asap. I believe your assessment between Seshat and Ursena is accurate as well.
I think for me personally, Ursena may end up being the one I ascend after Kunchen for two reasons. One, I like big Titan hits and I think she brings more to the table and will be a good replacement for Hel on Titan team. But, the even bigger reason is a matter of emblems. Ursena will almost certainly be able to get emblems, her only competition for me is Mitsuko. Meanwhile, Seshat will be competing with Athena, Alasie, Finley, Greg, Evelyn, and Lianna. Too many good heroes in that class…But eventually after a few more months and more ascension mats, Seshat will be next in line and then complete my two sets of purple 3 stacks.
