Much more intimidating now
For raid / war defense he looks good for a center spot (tank or flank), since his HP heal is dependent on total damage dealt. It’s a unique breed of offense and defense so he’s got that going for him. I can also see that being useful in offense. It’s pretty noteworthy that he can at least stand a chance against Alasie too. If you ignore his health bonus, he is at least an average speed full AoE hitter.
In the campaign and for quests, I’d only bring him in stages where there’s more than 1 boss at the end, since the minions usually die quickly to make his special useful and usually the help is more needed against the bosses than the waves of enemies (unless you plan on carpet bombing every single stage lol).
His attack stat is okay, but the damage his skill deals is mediocre meaning his healing will also be mediocre against a single target. This problem is most pronounced against Titans… he won’t be healing much, and at average speed mediocre damage skill, he won’t be doing much damage either.
Well those are my initial thoughts about him. Good for raids / wars, okay for campaign, but meh for titans.
If I get him be accident I’d be happy.
I think he would do pretty well in wars especially. He could be annoying being the last one remaining in arrow or heal wars.
I don’t have any red 5 * yet. So, hopefully luck will send him to my line up…
Personally, I think his place is on Aegir’s flank on defense, if you fail to kill Aegir fast, it’ll be hard to overcome normal damage healing combined with Anzogh’s healing. Not everyone has Zeline…
Lol… agreed
Honestly I’m not sold on him .his HP is too low for me to consider…
I don’t care for him , yet I bet I may be lucky to pull him even if I draw only 1 summon this month …
The heroes I want I don’t get , the ones I couldn’t care about end up in my inventory collecting space lol
Just wish he was a Druid or pally-can’t see myself taking emblems away from Guin—even though the talent will assist his damage and heals way more than it helps Guin
@Slingbow Can you post a full picture of him, here, not just the card? I’d like to see the art.
TIA
LMAO i raided you this morning and thought it was the complete opposite i recorded the raid
Well you da man 20 characters
He is not terrible, but does suffer by comparison to other red 5*. I won’t pull for him, but I still need Panther and want Ariel, so I figure I’ll get one for my (ridiculously deep) 1/1 red 5* bench.
His high defense makes him more buffed by defense buffs as they add a percent, which is another reason Wilbur is an ideal ally. He’ll be a rock with that defense buff. They’ll go off at the same time, too, or close to it. Wilbur also keeps ememies alive incidentally so more life to steal. Furthermore, Wilbur spreads ally damage out, so everyone being a bit damaged means Anzogh’s heal will be exactly apt. He also fits a niche with his 5* red instant heals; it’s not like Red Hood or Zim are good healers. On another note, since he has relatively low life with high armor, his flat rate healing will benefit him inordinately, like Gad’s healing does for Gad.
And ghosting becomes easier after enemies die, so the concern about less healing isn’t that warranted on offense. Lower heals per special but you get more heals. Plus, I believe his mana perk will resist Delay, and that will be an increasing issue in the next few months. I’d use him on offense only and with Aegir, Wilbur, Isarnia or other similar heroes that complement his stats and modest healing. Wilbur alone may make him exceptional.
He’s unexciting, in my view, but I think powerful, used correctly. Definitely would replace my BT in my Wilbur offense. As if that isn’t godly enough.
How about Anzogh and Triton? Has anyone tested that yet?
Should work fine…hang on one sec.
EDIT: Confirmed. I tested Triton and Anzogh together, and they work as expected. The healing amount went up 36.5% for a hit with Triton active vs. without, which is within the range I’d expect for Triton’s 39% buff and the random component of damage calculation.
I really would like to have Anzogh. And to be honest: I’ve got none of the heroes you list from 1-14…
I lack a red 4*+ hero at all, I really love his looks…
I just want to have him… But I’m scared of spending tons of money.
That’s a legitimate concern. If you haven’t already, I suggest reading this section from the top post:
Avoiding Overspending... (click to expand)
For your situation Anzogh IS a game changing, and if you feel like spending some money you should do.
But be aware that when you pass the point of “casual” player and go in competitive mode, there are several 4* more useful and omni-present in your red team much more then Anzogh.
I have 4 maxed fire legendaries, still in my gameplay i use much more Wilbur, Falcon and Boldtusk, and with the talent system you can really think to go all out with Scarlet and/or Lancelot.
2 of them are regular heroes that pretty much you are sure to obtain if you have patience.
And if you don’t have right now none of that heroes, i can assume you don’t have nearly enough materials to take Anzogh up to the max.
So the suggestion is always the same: before wishing for a legendary, build for yourself a good epic team.
Anzogh is pretty devastating if your willing to use your wizard emblems on him a true average speed aoe hitter and healer that does 215% damage AND 15% more damage per each active buff can make his aoe devastating and his heal much stronger.
Since no healers on atk teams is popular I see him as great on atk teams that way, decent on defense and still weak on titans.
But he is absolutely great if you use ur emblems on him and have someone like zimkitha stacking with him.
