About Quintus

Hi community I got Quintus from TC20 just now. Please tell does he worth to level up and if so what aspect (offense or defence) and reason.

I attached my all dark epic and legendary heroes

Thanks

I’m using him when playing mono. He’s still a decent choice.

Hi @TheBeastxGreat, Im afraid that Quintus is one of the weakest heroes overall but this doens’t have stopped me from ascending mine to 4.80

I have him and maxed him. He isn’t a game changer, but based on your current heroes he would be usable I think. He could be war depth, his tile damage is decent for titans, he is pretty strong against mobs in provinces too.

He isn’t much for defense, you already have people better than him for that.

Raids it depends on the opponent. If you’re a mono player he could be a forth or fifth for tile damage and if his power goes off, great.

Good luck!

I maxed him and emblems him +18 the reason is i have no competitions for sorcerers emblems.

If i have any other better sorcerers 5* i will ignore quitus

I have him at +7 and he is fine in offence. Team him up with Wilbur and Proteus against the right opponents team and the trio work a treat

Thanks all for your valuable advices

NO, wait for Sartana or 2

i dont have quintus, but he still worth on offense. Pair with kunchen and attack boost, he will shine… boom shakalaka.

As an end-gamer like myself, I regret the tabards I spent on him.

If I had them back, they could be back in my closet… not adorning a hero I almost never use anymore.

His costume is nice, and would change my opinion. You could give him tabards “just in case”

Still one of the worst 5* though.

I suggest maxing Quintus only if:

a. You have his costume;
b. You have at least 12 tabards; or
c. You want to ignore the general consensus about the hero and want to learn firsthand how :poop::poop::poop: he is and will be benched as soon when you have better purple heroes to complete a regular raiding team.

I would agree with the general consensus Q is not one of the best 5* heroes, but in my personal opinion he is often rated too negatively. His damage output is in the same ballpark as Ursena’s against enemies with more than 50% health remaining, and bigger otherwise. Of course Ursena has multiple other advantages that make her overall better, especially defensively, but in an offensive situation it depends. While slower, Quintus is probably a more reliable damage dealer as the damage output doesn’t depend on the health of the enemy.

Anyway not to make this a comparison between the 2, just to highlight that his damage output is on par with Ursena, who is generally highly rated.

I virtually always use my Quintus in combination with Isarnia, and together they make a devastating combo (in rush tournaments doubly so). Looking at your roster, you can do the same with Kunchen or Wilbur to lower enemy defense first, and then Quintus to deliver the damage. So this is how I would use him, on offense, always paired with Kunchen, and/or Wilbur. I have to also say though, that I don’t normally use him in raids or events anymore - this is because I have 6 maxed purple 5* and Quintus isn’t usually at the top of the list, but I do use him in war and the aforementioned rush attack tournaments that allow 5*. In the earlier stage of the game when I didn’t have so many 5* he did get more use.

The decision whether to max him at all depends on other purple options, in your current lineup I would go for it. Maybe if you’re planning to do a bunch of summons soon you can wait to see whatu else you might pull first.

And maybe after a really long time…

…while I won’t go so far as to say I regret leveling him, since I have recently pulled Ursena I would take the tabards from Quintus and give them to her instead, if this were possible. But this is only after a long long time (for me).

Comparing him with the recently rewoked G. Kong, no troop/emblem’s rule:

image

2016,9 (747 ATK x 270%)
12 tiles
2016,9 / 12 = 168,075

1965 (786 ATK x 250%)
10 tiles
1965 / 10 = 196,5
two more bullet points

In a rush attack tournament, following Kunchen, he’d be amazing.

But that’s pretty niche

I believe all heroes can be useful, but my Quintus was eclipsed by killhare and c. Tibs

i have costume Quintus (+14) teamed with C Rigard, C Tibs, Grimble and Proteus. With attack up and defense down in play he deals a big punch and combined with grimble’s attack they generally finish off most of the opponents. When grimble fires and there are minions Quintus immediately charges up so the slow (11 tiles) speed doesn’t have an impact.

So in my case, I have a use for him and I love him - his emblemed costumed stats are great. I have benched Sartana (who I think is generally overrated) because he is much more valuable in my configuration. But in other cases the answer is - depends ! As people have said if you pair him with A up and D down he will do well and in a rush tourney he will shine.

Edit - for reference his costume stats at 14 emblems are:
A 864
D 735
H 1516

Not to hijack the thread, but for the players that talent that fella up do you attack path then to maximize carnage?

:beers:

I vote for leveling your 2nd Rigard.

Yes I generally take the attack path for all of my heroes anyway as I play mono and I want to increase the chances of a 3-tile tank kill. But it is especially important with AOE hitters

Yes to that…though in the case of G Kong I’m going defense/attack to help him survive longer. He will only miss two attack modes but will be sturdy enough to fire at least once unless the board is REALLY bad. For Quintus i’d go attack/defense.

I suggest you wait for a better 5*, and work on your other 4*.

I have Quintus, and I found him underwhelming with no emblems. Luckily I have his costume, and costume Quintus is way better.
