4-1 start for the 2nd week in a row. Attacked with my regular raiding team of Kage - Onyx - Khonshu - cVictor - Cristobal. Boards were good so little problem in the wins.

The loss came against this team.

By the time I got my Purples charged, Tinsel and cKadilen had fired and wounded my heroes. Still managed to kill the tank and Hippo despite the blind and dodge, but a cascade into Jana ended the fight.

Defense has started nicely at 2-0.

My defence doesn’t look great this time because I don’t really have a green tank, but I did the best I can with my roster:

Attack team used for every attack: Hippo-2C Magni-Tinsel-Constance-Jove. I’m starting to love Constance.

The one I lost was Obakan tank with LB2 Jove and LB1 Waterpipe flanks.
Jove went off once, I killed Obakan, and then I had a big cascade hit Jove which caused him to charge and fire a second time, killing my team. Jove and Waterpipe had virtually 0 health

D - 1-5 (E) Def gets first win - it sucks, def gets 1st loss - it’s average or good def. Always seems to be this way. I am sad that after 1 decent def, it’s going the usual EEEEE way…And I couldn’t even stay at B or D first day had to fall to E immediately. Back to the usual devastation…

I lost against a tough team with a bad board for 0. Seems to be LB2 Lud and Hippo Galore, the classic for 5* tourney in general, really, but I faced too much Hippo today. I think I need to LB2 Lud, despite autotaunt nerf, he still has sick def stats and can survive for long. He seems to be a good tank in 5* tourneys in general.
PotO, Cel, Lud, Constance, Hippo, Only Cel and Constance weren’t LB2 - the def I lost against.

Day 2 started badly. Attacked with the same 4-1 VF team and couldn’t buy 6 Purple tiles to save my life. No zeroes, but 3 straight losses where it was just a case of scoring any consolation points possible.

Bought back in because defense is doing very well, was filling a Raid chest, and I believe that board luck balances in the end. True enough, the last 2 matches were filled with Purples and Greens, and 2 easy wins.

Defense ended day 1 at 4-0 and hasn’t been attacked yet. Hopefully the boards will be kinder the rest of the tournament.

Day 2:

Going strong this time. Still the same attack team for everyone. Every attack is a gamble, but I kind of like this hyper aggressive style that completely ignores enemy buffs, fiends and minions while still not going mono. Constance saved me from certain death 3 times today despite being only lvl 4/43. Tournament rank is 121 at the moment.

Seems like I am currently in a 5* tourney curse, offense doing well or kinda ok, while defense sucks and vice versa (last 5* buff booster 0-3 on day 3 and A,A,B,A,A rank def). Both just can’t work.

Being going mostly 3-1-1 line-ups with LoLo and Becky used in every fight, Becky’s 2nd charge was saving the hell out of me today.

1st and last def today both with green tanks were the toughest ones I faced today.
They were also highest TP defs I faced today, though I don’t always value TP to be the main reason for why the def is harder.

Went with Sobek, LoLo, C2 Caedmon, Becky, C Elk

Tank fired twice, and no I took no cleanser, I don’t really have damage dealing cleansers outside of C Caedmon and C Sonya and it felt risky to take C Caedmon, cause I don’t have him LB2. Both Sobek and Ceto never fired as I was able to kill them before they fired and got some lucky green matches under them too. Again, I had only 1 hero with more HP while 3 were almost dead when I finally won.

Went with LB2 Shrub, LoLo, C2 Caedmon, Becky C Elk.

I still find nerfed autotaunt to be good against fast, very fast damage dealing tanks, with average mana tanks it’s a bit harder to time it correctly now. But Roz fired twice and first time it was bear’s sacrifice, while second time she targeted only 2 out of 3 targets. I believe Erlang and El Naddaha never fired, but my heroes were still in a bad shape, I think 2 died, 2 were low HP only Becky was quite high HP.

Survived Bloody Wednesday with just 1 loss. That came in the first match against a Bastet tank flanked by Faline and Alfrike. The percentage play was to stack Yellow. Well, the percentages were wrong. Bastet fired twice before I could charge my heroes, though it was fun to see Alfrike being reflected by cGuin.

Went back to 4 Purples after that and again breezed through the remaining matches.

After starting 6-2, defense has stumbled with a 1-4 record today. Still a B at 7-6, but closer to dropping to C than improving to A.

Today went really bad with 4 losses and 1 win. Even lost against a Myon-Ni tank because the tables were just terrible. Was able to kill at least 2 heroes from every team, so bought in to continue as there’s still a chance to make top 5%.

D - 3-7 (E,E,E) Def got 2 wins all of sudden, of course, now when it really doesn’t matter.

My losses.

And also had this hard-earned win against this def.

It might be just 5.4k TP, but everything is fast and annoying, this def is pretty difficult actually.

I had that feeling, today will be 3-2 and it was 3-2. Won against both green tank defs, but defs are getting hardcore and cause I can’t use my reds, all hope I can have against defs I face is stacking strong color against non-green tanks. 2 non-green tanks today gave no strong tiles against them for a while, but I at least killed the tanks at the end… so 2 losses for 151. Just like previous bloody battle I somehow, don’t know how, made it to day 5 with 17-3 ratio.
