I do also have Ursena+17 on the bench but she doesn’t quite fit into either team.
First team allows me to use my most highly emblemed heroes, with the center trio each giving buffs; while second has no strong color counter but forces me to use Malosi, who is honestly a bit of a tile dump on D. GM also isn’t the best tank, this one’s gonna suck…
Not sure I have much better options, since I would like to avoid nature heros. Let’s see how it will work. Plus, just finished White Rabbit, and he would like to see some action.
Thinking this…melendor is green but I really like that he debuffs and gives two buffs - also maybe wishful thinking but this encourages red stack which lacks debuffers?
My benched options are Tell+9, Kelile and Scarlett both +18, C-Li+18, Grimble lol. Really don’t have good ones for this tourney. I’m going with C version of Tusk as with buff booster that marginal attack increase from OG doesn’t matter as much, I’d rather have the extra heal. Costume also has better stats for counterattacking. My team is going to depend a lot on Elena for this one.
Here im thinking about using Grazul in place of Scarlett or Joon. But then i wont have enough damage i think.
This way i will put greens away from my defense (no dispellers) i dont expect too much but trying the best with what i have.
Remember, of course, that the two colours for dispel really would be green or purple.
A smart attacker might bring some purple against you (3-2 with red, or even try mono) - they won’t have any dispel at all with mono red, and bringing yellows against Ursena is asking for trouble…
It depends how much you’re relying on avoiding dispels, but going further to discourage purple isn’t the worst idea ever.
Either way, best of luck.
(As always, I’m not adding more dark myself purely because the ones I have aren’t good on defence)
I know Clarissa is v fast, but I’ve always found her somewhat lackluster on wing. Plus the elemental link is honestly the best part of her special IMO, so I’d swap cRig and Clarissa’s positions if I were you. This way she makes cRig much tougher to take down without good tiles. Plus two healers on flank is a bit too passive IMO, you want to punish as hard as possible on a bad board and GM+Clarissa does exactly that at v fast.
Same comments to @Slobix above regarding wing Clarissa, plus flank Melendor opens you up to a red-purple stack, and purple lacks no dispellers (Domitia, Seshat, Kage, Panther).
Also BT with those stats must be a lot tankier than Elena, even without the strong color I dunno if Elena at only +5 would be sturdy enough for non-RT format. I’d still go with vanilla BT since you never know when that revive talent might kick in and ruin the attacker’s day. I’d also put the mana troop on BT regardless so he charges one turn faster.
Might finally pull the trigger on getting BT to +18 now that the cost is halved. Was banking all those emblems for a worthy 5* fighter but hoarding 689 fighter emblems and not using them seems silly? Plus taking BT to +18 would only consume 45 emblems, which would only set me back about a month now that each quest gives 22 emblems.
Thanks for input! So regarding that, I actually find Elena tanks way more threatening than BT tanks and she’s really only effective in the tank position for defense (except in very fast tourneys). She is a glass cannon type but it’s actually hard to charge average speed debuffers before she goes off as tank. (I’m not gonna worry about seshat, panther, kage as they’re relatively rare in my matchups with the strength of my roster.) Regarding mana troops - that’s correct on offense but it’s not quite so cut and dry on defense - I’d rather elena charge slightly faster than BT. She’ll just be way too slow as flank and counterattack is much harder to dance around when the riposter is tank than flank. Agreed with fighter talent being most annoying! I’ll consider changing to the non costume version.
Also agree clarissa is better flank than wing but elena is a worse flank than clarissa is a wing lolol, harm reduction model
