Buff Booster adds a stackable 20% attack buff to each hero for each active buff on that hero. Using heroes with special skills that grant buffs or multiple buffs can lead to very high attack boosts. These buffs stack with each other and normal attack buffs.

And the worst tournament for me has arrived… Any defense result other than E will be a great success (but I don’t get my hopes up too much).

Fortunately, in BB, attacking is much easier than defending, so on the first day I scored an easy 5-0 (although it’s only the first day and more demanding enemies are just lurking around the corner )

4-1 start again. Used 2 teams in attack. Yellow stack (Willow - cLeo - cGuin - Jana - Arco) Vs Purple tanks and Purple stack (Kage - Onyx - Khonshu - cVictor - Dabria) Vs others.

Boards were good and no problem except the one loss which came against this team.

Normally my VF team runs rings around slow defenses like this, but the c2Khagan tank fired twice before I could get any of my heroes charged. Only managed to kill the tank by tiles.

Defense has started 1-0. Even with Roz just at level 80, this is possibly the highest TP defense I have ever put up. Of course those with strong rosters will still laugh at it, but hopefully it won’t get matched against them too much.

Day 1 report:

I went the conservative route and picked some heroes with buffs instead of my strongest heroes, and so far my defense is 1-0 (yay):

Attacks went 4-1 with mostly a 3-2 holy-dark setup including C2 Li Xiu and some musketeers. Not much difficulty, just had a bad board once.

I’m already 3-2. I’ve never got so many blue tiles like in those 5 battles. The two losses i didn’t even charge half the mana bar (an Uthragan tank singlehandedly destroyed me…), but the victories too were a tough grind to get some tiles. I bet i’ll be out by tomorrow

I’m surprised by the lack of taunters we’re using (including myself tbh, although I can’t remember why). What is everyone else’s reason for skipping Ludwig/Phorcys/etc.?

Boards were good today and breezed to 5 wins despite facing a couple of 6000+ TP teams. Used my 4 VF Dark stack (Kage - Onyx - Khonshu - cVictor - Dabria) all 5 matches except the last one where I switched Xiaotu in for Onyx to counter Phorcys.

The only time I felt close to losing was when my only healer Dabria died in one of the matches. But there were enough gaps in the defense to ghost tiles and keep my VF heroes charging and firing continuously. Even buffed up 2000+ HP heroes can be killed by snipers if you hit them hard and often.

Defense is still A (3-1). It might be an illusion of small sample size, but I’m not giving those 900 points back

Same here, even though i face far way weaker teams. I got matched to 4 defenses with a green tank and the only one with a “buff special skill” was a C.Mother North. The game was kind today.

Day 1 was horrible, I had 18 kills total. Today, Day 2 I thought I had only used 4 flags but had used and won all 5, so that was a nice surprise

Survived Day 3 with only 2 losses and consider that a success since I faced 4 teams above 6000 TP and 3 Gestalt tanks

Lost the first match of the day against a Darkfeather - Christine - Barkley - Sha - Xiaotu team. Attacked with my 4 Purple + Dabria team, and almost won it despite a 1000 TP gap in power. It came down to my Kage + Onyx vs Darkfeather. Kept ghosting tiles and had reduced Darkfeather to a tiny bit of hp, but a cascade charged him and that 50% chance to do damage triggered.

Won the next 2 against Gestalt and cGazelle tanks before losing again in the 4th match against a c2Leo - Khufu - Gestalt - Phorcys - Edwin team. Xiaotu came in for Onyx, but had no chance in this one. Survived Gestalt’s first cubes, but the next ones killed Dabria and there was no coming back from that. Not a zero though.

Defense clung on to A for a 2nd day, but is now down to B (4-4). Still in top 1% though

Another 5-0 today. Used always the same team (Lepiota - khagan - ludwig - C.BT - EDD Marjana) because i kept getting matched to team with mostly green tanks/flanks e because my yellow or green heroes are mostly weaker and non-buffers. I’m not stacking more purple to have more chances to charge Ludwig (that’s pretty much game over if i do, combining his and Khagan’s buffs is lethal). As much as i managed to charge the three reds, three enemies were doomed, then i could work with ghosting. In a pair of situations Lepiota saved me from certain defeat: with my team almost wiped out, i kept turning the enemy’s attackers into ghost and let enemy healer be useless.

Defense is 1-1 since yesterday.

Bad start to Day 4 with 2 straight zeroes. First was against a Ukkonen tank flanked by Rhys and Frond. Board was so bad that I didn’t get any of my VF Purples charged at all.

Bought back in because my defense was over-performing and regretted straightaway with another zero against a Barkley flanked by Luna and Phorcys. Once the owl got going was a painful death.

Next 2 boards were better and won against Gestalt and Green Knight tanks. Then ran into Luna again in the last. This time flanking Tetisheri. Was done in by the Nyx on the other flank firing at 2nd charge.

Despite all that still clinging on to Top 1% though that won’t keep with defense going down to C.

I’m so glad i float on a lower tier, i would have no chance against those heroes
5-0 today too, always with the same attacking team. Only once swapped Lepiota with Bera to prevent some nasty minion summoner, but it was useless, cause all the summoners fired before my Bera

Day 5 didn’t last long. Beat a LaSalle tank for a promising start, and then lost 2 in a row to Aradia tanks. Switched c2Rigard in to cleanse her fire, but didn’t make much of a difference. Not zeroes, but not close to winning either.

Currently in top 20k and defense is still C (6-8) so hopefully can stay in top 5%.

This must be the most depressing tournament in months.

It started ok, but eventually I ended with a score of 15866 (defense pending). This puts me in the top 10%

Attacks were 15-10, with 4 losses on day 4.
Defense fell down to D.

After my day 4 attacks I felt like a gimp, and I was reminded of my early days in this game. Wasn’t able to fire any specials even once.
