In this tournament (bloody battle, no ice) only Gobbler can be a good option to use in attack.
…but how many people can have an upgraded Gobbler? Certainly not many. I think you can get 90% (or even more).
I don’t have Gobbler or Mielikki, so i’d have to use Kvasir if i was fighting you
Yes. In fact, even they have Gobbler, their Gobblers don’t heal. Gobbler and C Gormek is less effective against Mielikki in bloody battle than in buff booster.
Interesting idea but I am not sure how long Kvasir would survive against my defense .
After Mielikki fires, all reds lose - 24% attack (uncleansable) for 6 turns (very long time in Bloody Battle). Besides, you will need yellows (2x Tibs) and neither yellows nor reds have cleanser (def down).
Well, oopsy.
I forgot it was Bloody Battle, I had a mono purple team already on my lineup to use so instantly hit “battle” for the first one, then realised it wasn’t healing. I was using 2x healers, oops.
Everyone charges in 6 tiles and even though they don’t do a whole lot of damage with their special skills, hoping that the frequency of them firing will be enough. So far so good on Day 1 with 4 wins using this team, though to be fair, I didn’t face any strong defenses and there were quite a number of healers. Toughest team faced was one with 2 +20 Caedmons. The Superior minions are hard to kill
Edit : I think I’ll switch Anton and Sergei tomorrow since Anton will make use of Arges’ attack buff more
The only time I switched was against a mono Green defense
Day 1 O: 5-0 D: 0-1 E
The first day is usually easy, so 5-0 is just confirmation that I didn’t break anything (though one battle was really close). The real fights will start tomorrow
As I expected, the defense does not work well
10 purple tiles and I can effectively shut down one side (barring any withstand/evade). Boards were mercifully very kind today, even if the opening was bad, I was able to scrape together 10 purple tiles either just before or right after Ferrant/Wilbur fired. But Mielikki also played a crucial role in keeping my whole team alive (and making everyone charge much faster). Had I not levelled a Mielikki I’m sure I would’ve lost at least one match today.
Defense is doing surprisingly well at 5-1 for an A start. Thank you @u2371 for inspiring me to use Mielikki as tank even if reds are allowed. Stacking red is actually a pretty big risk, because if you don’t tile her out in time, you’re basically finished since that attack down against red is uncleansable and for 6(!) turns.
Was gonna tank Gormek (non-LB) and flank Mielikki, but glad I changed my def after reading your post and thinking more about it. I’m also pretty sure Zhabog pulled his weight here, since I intentionally only used “solo heroes” to take full advantage of the +5% mana bonus. If Mielikki fires, that’s +25% mana bonus to everybody!
Go with Anastasia - Mielikki - C/CB Caedmon - C Kelile/C Gormek - C/CB Caedmon/Hansel in all attack. It seem to be my best attack team in 4* bloody battle for now. Get bad board in 1st and 2nd attack. Lose one Caedmon but manage to win with power of minion since enemy team aren’t very strong. Other 3 attack are average to good board. Win without problem .
D : 5-0
Mielikki tank do very well job
In 4* buff booster and bloody battle, Mielikki is the best tank for now. She is like mini 4* Hulda with undispellable atk down against red.
One board was un-losable - purple diamond on first move, then 5 or 6 more purple tiles came after that. Defense didn’t even get to fire once.
One board was good - dragon bomb on first bomb, then two obvious matches to give 10 tiles.
Two boards were average - two matches on starting board, but then had to really work for the last two matches. Tank and both flanks fired.
One board was below average - two matches on opening, but purple dried up after that and had lots of yellow and blues instead. Whole defense minus Franz (right wing) fired at me (but not in the right order) so thankfully I survived. Yellow charged Mist who slowed the defense down just enough to buy me time to find the last two purple matches. Franz went off and one Ametrine died to slashes, but thankfully Proteus was able to mana lock Franz before dying to another slash as well. Greens came just in time for Mielikki to give attack down and a minion shield to survive a direct hit from c2Kelile (who hit all 3 remaining heroes!). Tiled out c2Kelile on left wing with purples, and won with 3 heroes standing but <10% HP. Definitely a close one, and would’ve lost had Mielikki not been there.
All that just to say: yes boards were decent today, but the one below average board, the two supporting heroes (Mist, Mielikki) pulled their weight in helping my team survive as well.
