More Insights & Reading
I highly recommend reading these three threads for more information and context on summoning odds:
If youâve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

Is it just me or his defence stats makes him look kinda too fragile in comparison to other 3s?
I mean most 3s are now at 1400hp when 2X LB, and heâs only at 1000HP even after 2X LBđ€.
Is here gonna be any usable? Provided he even survives at all
All the hate here is crazy. This dude is a stud 3*, an absolute STUD. He is gonna wreck Buff Boosters. I priority leveled one right away and may do another for this tourney.
At 2LB and going sword & heart path he has almost 1200 HP, aether power is defense up and starts battle with a mega minion that has another 250 HP plus 100% attack. His skill bumps defense 36% to 3 along with a very nice crit chance boost to his neighbors. And he removes wither.
The 3* Enthusiasts will def appreciate William. Haters gonna hate, but the real ones know whats up
250 HP is not much for a mega minion. This is almost as low as a thorn minion from the druids. But the attack is much higher, I agree.
Minion HP should be higher.
Not much Wither to cleanse in the 3* pool, except for BootsâŠ
Currently, my strongest 3* is Swan Maiden and she is at 795 with 885 def and 1325 HP. So yes, William seems to be weaker than other recent event heroes.
But I agree thereâs too much negativity over this one. I also got him and will level him for sure.
Thats the key and Im glad u pointed out. William is an attack hero at the end of the day. Thorn minions are much less attack. For a 3* I think 250 HP is fine for a minion you get automatically at the start, no tiles needed nor do you have to take damage to activate. Especially when u get 100% attack with it. But Im ok with people wanting some more. Wouldnt be overkill
For the heroes you posted in comparison:
Swain Maiden is stronger. Yes, u are def right about that.
Yona is on par. Healer vs Attack hero, but can compare HP to Attack or Def points 2 to 1. Def are equal at 757. So William 186 higher attack is very close to Yonaâs 393 higher HP. Side note: I regret leveling Yona. I normally stay away from rng skills, but the fast boosted heal tempted me. She gives me too much aggravation tho. Like 4 DDs in a row when u just want a heal lol
Starswift is also on par. Base stats are very similar.
With William, people just need to remember he is an attack hero like u illustrated and has new mechanic where essentially gets a free meat shield to start the battle. The 250 HP is one time use, but his stats are otherwise on par with Starswift/Yona so its a bonus over them. Put him between a couple other hitters at the crit chance will pay dividends. Esp in buff boosters.
*Thanks for posting cards. Apparently I need to get Swan Maiden. I have the other two, but wow. Didnt realize her stats
Tested him out. Nothing too spectacular yet. But what is pretty cool is that you get a nice little meat shield to start the match. The only downfall is that he wonât receive Dawnâs mana sucking minion when his mega minion is in play. William is very much a support hero, so if you need big hitting firepower, he ainât it. However, if you want to boost your critical hit chances, William is very useful.
Well, thank you for your feedbackđ. I just wasnât too sure about him and his usability. I guess you just helped me see the side I wasnât able to⊠I had pulled 2 and kept one just in case⊠So Iâll give him the benefit of the doubt and try him our i guess
You wouldnât want to put him next to Dawn anyway. She only gives minions to nearby and doesnât do damage with her special.
Therefore you would want separation between the two and they can play on the same team just fine, one lucky hero will have Def & Crit boost while holding a mana killing minion.
He hits like a wet sponge and his buffs are worthless for any 3* tournaments. In the current meta I donât see any reason to bring him for any situation instead of Faiez, Zarel, Noril, Zarola or Fianna. If they intend to make wither the most important debuff in 3* tournaments, then maybe, but 4 turns is probably not fast enough for the passive to make a difference. Right now he looks like an easter egg type of hero, much like Numbskull. He is even depicted that way in the card.
Of course. Dawa stays at the wings. He also doesnât quite synergize well with Swan. Cuz Swan will wipe out the crit and def boost, so all you get from Will is that pinprick hit.
Swan is tricky as you note, wipes out other buffs on the team while being an excellent hero in her own right.
Just gotta build based on a choice. William should work very well with Dawn⊠Wish William applied the buffs to the entire team, would be very special if that happened.
Melia gives great crit to the entire team at Fast mana but not the defensive buffs and older stats⊠all tradeoffs.
With William being Average mana applying the buffs to the entire team wouldnât feel OP but it appears that SG limited him because he reverses Wither and they donât want a 3* running around holding its own among 5* (again).
