My alliance leader has Baldur as tank for war. Baldur’s special looks difficult to overcome once it goes off.
Lots of good choices OP.
- Ilmarinnen as a tank would definitely be helped by getting Aethers.
- Nadezdha as a reviver and irritant could be a possibility
However I voted for Mitsuko, I am a big fan of mana cutters (Ruby, C.Alasie, Neith, etc.) as they are useful for both Offense and Defense.

Tank - Revive - Mana Reduction - extra random hits etc.
I personally voted for Nadezhda …

nadezhda can bring dead allies to full health and super annoying especially in v.fast war/tourney.

Seriously though, “it depends” is very much valid. I wouldn’t suggest Ilmarinen if the person asking already has a LB’d and emblemed Ferant and an LB’d and emblemed Isrod.
Naz might seem worthwhile but if they already have a Costumed Mother North that they use all the time, Naz is potentially not worth it.

Nadezhda is leading in the polls. I think she & Ilmarinen (in that order) are the obvious choices.
A lot of hypothesis without any valid opinion.
MN without costume is not worth LB since she boosts health & then revives. The revived heroes are easily killed within 1-2 moves
Ilmarinen & Ferant have different skills
The counter attack can help you in every enemy, every level and every event in the game. I have elena without costume and never lose an event
Elena is good & is effective against Titans too. That’s why she’s included here. Her costume just enhances her skills.
And now with ridiculous hitters she deals a great damage
True but with riposte heroes, the issue is that they need to have low defence for the riposte to be effective. Unfortunately, this also means that they can be killed easily & in cases of slow heroes like Elena, even before they fire.
This is from defence perspective. On offence, you can control depending on tiles
theoritically like u said, but have u ever found MN without costume revived her dead allies that ready to charge their specials then turn your almost winning into losing?
Nadezhda by virtue of bringing more to the table than others because of having technically two different special skills. And that passive and family bonus is nasty too.
