Which Dark Hero to ascend?

It’s been awhile since I’ve had enough tabards to do some ascending so I feel unprepared to make this decision!

Uthragan seems interesting because he seems like he’s be a Clarissa? And I like Clarissa. Sartana and Domitia are classics and I know nothing of Viscaro. Haven’t gone up against him enough to know if he’s fun.

If it was a no brainer to me, I wouldn’t have asked.

I would ignore the other guy, personally I would go with Uth, just better stats and power. But vis won’t be a bad choice those are my 1 and 2 from your list. Most importantly have fun my friend and don’t worry about the goons out there.

:thinking: Hmmm… To be honest I, personally, would hold on to the tabards. S1 heroes without costumes may not be worth it so Sartana & Domitia are not in the running. Viscaro is okay but not really dangerous enough considering his slow mana speed. Useful in rush war/tournament and bloody battles though.
Uthragan is a tricky so n so. That poison damage hurts a lot and heals him quickly but it’s not enough for me. Luckily I don’t see him as anywhere close to Clarissa as she is hands down by biggest disappointment in the game, but that’s a personal issue.

If I had to choose, at a push, Uthragan would get my vote but I think you have enough purples to hang on to those Tabards and hope for something better

Whatever you decide, I hope it works out for you.

indeed, just ignore that other poster - I’m certainly not going to judge your account just by what heroes you have :slight_smile: nor am I going to be condescending towards someone asking for advice.

I would ignore Sartana - even with first costume, I don’t use mine anymore. she just does not do enough damage (compared to others I have). maybe this will change if you get her 2nd or her toon costume.

Domitia, without costume, can also be ignored - you already have Seshat to snipe and dispel.

that leaves Uthragan or Viscaro.

Viscaro has a good niche to punish minions, though is not the fastest. He might fit in well with your team - you rely on Wu and Cyprian, Viscaro helps add pressure on the enemy, punishes healers.

Uthragan could replace Clarissa, but not complement - their poison will overwrite, so you won’t have both their poison active at the same time.
(it would help with your depth, e.g. like in War, use Clarissa on one team, Uthragan on another)

some would say hold onto your Tabards; but before deciding that, it’s useful to know: how much do you summon? (that helps us answer: how likely are you to get a “better” hero, if you wait?)

you could also wait until the coming Costume Chamber: maybe you will be lucky and get the costumes for either Domitia or Sartana. (or even Obakan or Quintus, and you can work on one of those first while waiting :smiley: )

overall, I think it should be either Viscaro, or wait.

I’m a fairly casual player (if you count buying the occasional gem sale and loot tickets when I can as “casual”) so I don’t summon super often. I actually have a bunch (9?) gold tokens I’m holding onto. I honestly don’t know for which summon, but I just haven’t felt a call to.

I think my hesitance with Viscaro was he is sooo slooow. And y’all are right that Sartana and Domitia just seem meh at this point. Uthragan seems interesting, but am I in love? No.

I think for now I’ll hold onto the the tabards! I think I just got excited because for a long time I didn’t have enough tabards so the question of who to ascend was kind of a moot point!

A sincere thanks again for the thoughtful and helpful responses. Like I said in the original post, I have played this game for years… but I never post! A little intimidated, I guess? The first reply had me doubting if I should’ve posted, but the rest of the responses were great! :heart:

Oh gosh, there are some really amazing people on this forum. Very knowledgable and kind, to say the least.

Hold the gold tokens for the Christmas seasonal event. There are some decent heroes there, and some nice new ones coming.

The POV, VIP, and occasional $1 USD per 1 summon deals are the best imo.

If you use the Line app there are even more people/places to learn and ask advice.

You are more than welcome. There will always be some less than savoury people but the rest of us are sweet as honey or something else sweet if you’re not a honey fan.

Also, quick tip for your titan team. Try to slot Cheshire Cat in there, maybe in place of Fura. He’s suprisingly good against yellow titans.
