Decisions, decisions. I have Magni, King Arthur and Miki all at 3/70, and am one telescope away from leveling one of them. I really can’t decide.
My other 5* 4/80 heroes are Isarnia, Ariel, Elena, Marjana, Joon, Domitia and Kadilen.
I see the pros and cons as follows:
Magni - arguably the best of the three for raids. However I’d be unlikely to use him on my defense team when I already have one ice hero on the team (Ariel)
Miki - Probably the best hero in the game against Titans. Plus alongside Arthur, Isarnia and Kiril my Titan scores vs. Red will be through the roof. On the other hand I still get the impact of his special at 3/70, and he (or she?) is underwhelming in raids.
Arthur - excellent against red titans, but not against the other four colors. Pretty good in a blue stack for raids, but would likely not earn a place on my defense team.
Who would you all pick? I also have two copies of the mighty Thorne sitting at 1/1, but I don’t want to level him because I’m afraid the game would become too easy
Magni is one of the best snipers in the game with a defense buff.
Miki is awesome at titans and good in other aspects with his secondary abilities.
Arthur is a solid sniper with a single target elemental debuff
Miki is fine at 3.70 for you, in all likelihood. I use him at 3.70 against 13 and 14* titans and keep him alive ok with items. As long as his special is maxed you don’t need to give him the scopes.
Magni will definitely be great in raids, and his usefulness will really improve being maxed, as is the case with pretty much any sniper stuck at 3.70. He will also bring huge tile damage for titans. He has a good case.
Arthur is also going to get a big boost if you go with him. His attack stat is pretty mediocre, even maxed, so he really needs all he can get. His special is really good for both raids and red titans.
I think this is a bit of a tossup between Magni and Arthur, depending on what your priorities are. Magni will be better for raids, Arthur for titans. I’d lean Arthur since Titans give the best loot and you already have Isarnia bringing huge tile damage against titans and Arthur will only be contributing his debuffs if he isn’t maxed
I would say probably Miki. I don’t have him but have heard he is a game changer against titans. And titans can be a good source of mats. Plus you already have a couple blues you can choose from for your defense.
There is no bad choice here but there are alot of things to consider imo:
Do you currently have any problems staying in diamond league and filling your raid chest?
-Do you try and chest skip your raid chest to fill 2 times a day?
-Will chosing magni or king push one of your war teams over the edge for success and is that important to you?
If the answer is no to all of these questions I’d consider Miki, you’ll use him everyday 5+ times a day and is a hero many would use on all titans for their entire E&P career regardless of color.
If Yes then I’d flip a coin, I’m in agreeance with @Bo_Duke . Kings versatility would be My choice and I have all 3. I’d also consider if any of them would be longer term emblem holders.
Miki and Arthur are serviceable at 3-70 because you are using them for +ATK and Elemental Debuff. Magni needs to be maxed to be worth it. However, maxed he is amazing, especially if you put emblems on him.
Lots of great thoughtful advice here, thanks to all of you. Differing opinions too, but that’s not surprising since there is no wrong choice here.
I’m having no problem filling a chest in diamond once a day, which is all I have time for. I do sometimes drop out of diamond overnight since I have no good tanks, but none of these three will likely change that fact.
I’m leaning towards Arthur because he has utility for war, raid attack and red titans. Miki is already good enough at 3/70 for now, especially since my alliance is relatively weak and only hitting 8 and 9 star Titans (I’m the strongest member currently).
I know Magni is a great hero but he is so squishy. I don’t seem to value him quite as highly as most of the community.
Given all the differing opinions at least I know I wasn’t crazy to struggle with the decision!
Miki is fine at 3.70 forever. He’s just not worth the final ascension. He can take a punch of a 14* titan on 3.70. That’s all he needs. Assuming special at 8 ofc.
Arthur is best when paired with a great sniper.
And guess who your best sniper here is…
You can’t regret Magni. You say he’s squishy but he’s one of few heroes whose special at fast speed makes up for his weakness (defense). He hits hard as rock. And snipers just need this final ascension desperately.
My blue roster is almost same as yours, only I have Frida instead of Arthur. I went ascending Magni, then Ariel, then Aegir, now my next plan is Frida. I would do it in this order all over again. I use Grimm with emblems so Isarnia stayed on 3.70. Miki on 3.70. Misandra on 3.70. I would still max Magni first.
Similar. I went with Magni, Aegir, Frida, Ariel. Got Magni and Aegir about same time when he was a crap liability, 3 ppl spirit link, so sat @ 3-70 until then. He got buffed, he got scopes. Then, pulled Frida she got scopes. Then Ariel was my most recent. Others on bench are Master Bunny, Richard, & Isarnia. Went with Magni first, and still gets alot of use. Not on my defense, but daily use, sees wars, titans, etc. I only have 2 normal heros maxed, all else are HOTM or special ones. I am a sucker for the limited ones. But I do have Joon and Magni maxed. Oh and I have almost all the tc20 - 5* heros - so that should say something about Magni.
With what you have at the moment, it sounds like magni would give you the most bang for your buck… even if he doesn’t make you defense team, you’ll use him every war and every titan… well. Every red titan.
Ill add that I have all 3 maxed. Miki was the last of the 3 and I can honestly say I wish I had given the mats to someone else. He is amazing at titans (I fight 13-14), but I find him to be horrible at everything else. I maxed Arthur out of necessity as he was the only other “sniper” I had after Magni. That said, he is a poor one and is basically just a setup for a Magni kill. Arthur also makes a crappy tank.
I am missing Alice, Richard, Alasi and Perseus. I have all the other Blues. Magni sits at the top and is even a key flank in my raid and war defense.
