I was thinking the same. It could be worth it, so I only need a mana 5 troop for him on offence. 
IIRC there is not much information available on how mana works on defence?

But I do have him now! Just after I started Rayne, of course, and with Ametrine and then Sergei to snaffle the 1* feeders. By the time he’s head of the queue I’ll probably have the tabards. Or it might be more worthwhile to level him before Rayne; the latter may be “better” but I have snipers and poisoners, whereas the only fiend creators I have are Anastasia (not finished) and Vollermork. Either way, Viscaro is getting a run up to 3.70 at least, and a try out for giggles.

I personally wouldn’t, I think Vela is a much more versatile hero than Viscaro. I’d bring Vela almost anywhere but Viscaro I think would prove to be much more useful in Raids, Tourneys or Wars.
Vela on the other hand can be used in Raids, Tourneys, Wars and against monsters/challenge events etc.
I don’t see myself bringing Viscaro against any mobs/events yet.
Just my opinion 
Disclaimer: I don’t have Vela myself but am currently working on leveling Viscaro.

I think he meant Bera. I wouldn’t move emblems from Bera to Viscaro personally

I wouldnt put post nerf vela and vis in the same tier. I think.viscaro is much better. More niche yes but in that niche he is very strong. Vela is weak everywhere. You should almost always be able to find a better hero for pve than vela.
I have both. I havent touched my vela in many months (except possibly class trials)

Fair point, which is why I said she’s more versatile rather than stronger. As per my disclaimer, I don’t own Vela so it’s just my raw opinion based on the facts I see.
But I do agree, there is quite a list of heroes that are better than Vela to bring for PVE
I still do find Vela annoying in defense though (especially if paired with the right heroes) but having said that, Viscaro is probably better in defense than Vela as well.

Thanks for your answer!! I maxed Vela before the Nerfuria event, and now I use her only with green titans, or sometimes attacking in war.
I think I use the emblems on Viscaro.

I stripped my Emilio to emblem Viscaro. I don’t use Emilio much, really only against Alfrike teams. Viscaro I am using very frequently at the moment

Hey, how do I report an issue about Viscaro. I just went up against 3 minnion spawners… 2 freyas and a frosth… their minions overrode my fiends… is that supposed to happen? What’s the point of his passive or even his special if they can be overidden by spamming more minions or Viscaro not being able to override a minion if the 3 slots are full? For example if there are 3 thorn minions already slotted, Viscaro won’t put a fiend on when his special goes off?

this works as expected from the way I understand it. If a hero has 3 fiends or minions or a combination of both. The oldest one is overwritten by a new one.
So in your example, the fiend will replace one of the thorn minions, but same is in reverse if there are 3 fiends, a new minion will replace one of them.
So that’s pretty lame… because even though I may be able to keep a fiend on a spawners… but the rest of the enemies could have no fiends because the spawners spammed more minions which negated my fiend… poor design for a slow mana generated
You are not seeing his true potential.
If you go up against the right team of 3 passive heroes (minion spawners are best, then come healers, the ncome taunters and dodgers and riposters) and you build a team for survival then as long as you dont mind a battle of attrition Viscaro will most likely be enough to kill off the enemy.
This type of setup is not rare in mid to upper diamond, I am getting a lot of play out of this team (slight variants if I don’t need a dispeller). It is not sufficient to tackle the top-end Xmas defenses with Xnol - for that team I think I need 2 Viscaros, and my second dies too easily at 3/70. But any semi passive team below that is taken care of very effectively (if slowly)

I got inspired by one of @Homaclese’s line-ups. But I don’t have all the heroes, so I created this team -
I sometimes take Mist +19 LB if there are 2 taunters over Gobbler.
Athena is there mainly to increase tile damage and damage from SS with her def drop.
Great team against minion/taunt heavy teams with not much firepower. Also Gobbler great counter mainly against Pengi, but also in general to kill minions (he is my only minion killer).
I also started using 2-1-1-1, 2-2-1 recently a lot more. It’s actually pretty fun going counter-heavy rather than tile damage-heavy. Even though I have issues with healer tanks or powerful tanks mostly when strong color is absent against them like in this tounament were Shrubbear or Grevle, but also Treevil, as the tile damage is kind of more important to take these tanks out. Or in general raids, also healer tanks are the main issue with these line-ups. So I sitll prefer 3-1-1, 3-2, 4-1 against these kind of defs.
