Why would you run gobbler with viscaro? Part of viscaro special, he bypasses minions with his attack damage. Also his fiends do more damage if the enemy hero has a minion. He also resists negative effects from minions, so like lady of the lakes mana down wouldnt do anything to him.
What if almost all opponent heroes have 3 minions on every hero? Better firing Gobbler or Viscaro then? definitely Gobbler. What if Pengi is about to fire? Rather fire Gobbler than Viscaro (again if defense team has too many minions).
Which Talent Grid path will you choose?
I did def/hp route, because I also use him as my war tank. If I used him purely on offense, I’d go def/attack personally.

True. But all those heroes are available EVERY month and Hotm is available only ONE month
As long as you play during the month where the hotm is featured your chance getting him are so much higher than with one of those others mentioned.
If you don’t, your chance is around the same.
Old hotm is featured in atlantis where the odds getting him are around the same as getting one of those S4 when they are featured and still much higher than getting sennan.
And if they are not featured there you have the chance pulling them from taverns or hero academy (Edit: after a year) , there the chances are worse than non featured S4 and around the same or little bit better than an event hero every few months.
For f2p the chance getting a hotm are around 15-25% (or even much higher if they use gold coins during seasonal events) depending how much they farm (15% if they just finish all things with guaranteed pulls, 25% if they farm hard for chests during event, get lucky with keys, farm Atlantis and Valhalla)
The chance for getting one of those other heroes mentioned is around 0.1% and gets a little bit higher for featured S4 heroes, maybe 0.5%.
And if people pay it doesn’t change much at the ratio. The chances for both will get higher the more you pay, but than they end maybe with one of those mentioned heroes and a handful hotm.
So on average for every sennan pulled in the game there are a few hundred viscaros.

My 5 cents are, if you pull a lot during a month, you will get a Hotm. If you pull a lot from a portal, you will get event 5*. Maybe not a targeted 5* but still event 5*.
Once month ends, chances of getting that particular Hotm are way lower than getting a desired event hero from the portal next month up to in 3 months
Summon odds you can find in the summon Portal if you click on the “?”.
The number of guaranteed free pulls you can easily get looking at the monthly calendars and the loot from those events.
With those two things you can calculate without any problems the overall chance getting a hotm and one of the other Heroes mentioned if you are f2p.
It gets a little bit more tricky with p2p because I don’t know where they pay. If someone only pays for S4 and that each month the chances that they will get Hannah/Liz are a little bit higher.
But if someone spends his money at least halfway even over different portals the ratio will be around that of f2p.

Being f2p:
Chance for getting sennan over a year around 0.8% (we don’t really know how often events come, but with the old cycle that’s every 5th month 2 free pulls.)
Chance for getting viscaro over a year from tavern once he is added around (0.4%) and HA10 (0.5%)
So getting an old hotm and an event hero are around the same.
Now if someone pays it of course depends where they spent. If someone does 500 pulls in the event portal and none in tavern chances are of course different.
But than viscaro will be featured some time in the tavern and Atlantis, event heroes will never be featured. So if someone wants an old hotm, using tavern when it is featured gives much higher chances than an event heroe.
So as written before. During the month the hotm is available the chances are much bigger and after that around even.
Those percentages don’t add up, you know. So, 0.4 and 0.5% are at best 0.5%. and you said, Sennan is 0.8%. so, still higher chance.
My point is, it for sure is a lot higher chance of getting Hotm but for me, and for some Hotms, I did 100+ pulls in a month to get one. Some Hotms I got from just a few pulls. Same with some event heroes. Bottom line is, once the Hotm month ends, you are not going to get him any time soon (ever). Heroes from events you might sometimes
The chance to get a legendary Slayers hero are 1%. The chances to get Senan in particular are 0.2% (1%/5 Slayer heroes) The chance to get a HotM are 1.3%.
- The chances to get a HotM vs. a Slayer 5* hero are 30% higher.
- The chances to get Viscaro vs Senan in particular are 650% higher (1.3/0.2)
The Slayers arrive every 4 months nowadays. In any given month you can use different free event pulls that help your chances to get the HotM, while for the Slayers you have 2 free pulls every 4 months…

But it should work like this
(1-0.004)x(1-0.005) = 0.99102 so 99,102% that you don’t get it or around 0,89% that you get it.
So that’s 0.89% for the hotm and around 0.8% for Sennan.
So, after the month passes, former Hotm waits a year and gets included in tow and ha10. What are the chances to get him? So, there is a better chance to get slayer 5* hero than that particular Hotm. Isn’t it?

Yes you have to wait a year that it gets included, but after that the chances are nearly identical.
And once the hotm is featured in atlantis for example the chances that you get it are once again much higher than Sennan which is never featured.
My point is, if you get unlucky chasing a Hotm, there is a realistic chance you will never get him again. With event heroes, there is always next event in a month or so
There are around 50 Hotms at around 0.8% drop chance. Getting the one you want is like winning a lottery
Of course you can always get unlucky and if you miss something when it’s featured it’s much harder to get.
May it be an old hotm or even old event heroes which are now only available from festival event.
So you are right that it’s much harder once it pass but the original statement was that its to easy to get a hotm than an event hero and because of that hotm are weaker than op event heroes.
If you want prove that just look back when telluria was prominent, nearly every defense from low platinum to high diamond had her back when she was good.
Now look for example Xno or any other event/S4, which is really looked after. Yes you find some, but nowhere near as much as telluria back then.

I Will use him as a tank only in the super fast wars and on offense, how should i emblem him shield/health or sword/shield ??

I did sword shield and it’s attack becomes pretty decent along with his defense. He is kinda lowish on health, though. Still, would want to LB him because his stats are below par in the current meta compared to what he does.
