Upcoming Q&A with Game Designers - Summer 2022 Edition (Questions)

Hello SG,

thank you again for holding a Q&A which is a welcome practice and we as players are very appreciative of it. :slight_smile:

I have several questions and will try to keep them simple. Some are laid out as suggestions and you can expand on it, whether you find it as an idea, which is in works or could be evaluated for future :

  1. RAID COMPETITIVE LADDER : or something else to keep players engaged and to strive for something high end (veteran players). Staying in diamond arena (by rewards) shouldnt be highest goal?

  2. HIGH END GOALS : in general - such additions are very needed in a game where veteran players are already loaded with what game offers ( it can come in forms of alliance buildings/ helping teammates for higher goal, challenging realm of mythic titans to go for highest forms of rewards- extreme difficulty, raid ladder going for top place,… Also high end goals for WARS to strive for something other than victory to fill chest - simplest form could be just another monthly leaderboard for top alliances and rewards by placement, not by 1% .

  3. SOLUTIONS FOR BENCH HEROES : We have so many heroes, who never get opportunity/ are left behind beacuse stronger heroes take their place… I offered many solutions for such heroes, which could still benefit our team or alliance : by sending them on trips (naval battles, caravans, ruins explorations etc // all mentioned ideas are in the ideas category section - those ideas also add extra micromanagment options for every player and adds much needed depth to this game/ versatility how each player goes about handling their town / and offer really unique gameplay.
    New event - CARGO SHIP , sail to VICTORIES or protect the CARGO!
    CARAVAN raiding - put to use many bench heroes - NEW FEATURE
    New feature : RUINS/ DUNGEON EXCAVATION

  4. CASTLE WARS - alliance effort (different buildings adds different bonuses/ defending on tower gives hero critical chance and higher accuracy, shooting from mage turret gives mana bonus, defending at the gates gives defense bonus/ tactical positionings and more levels to finish - first challenging the outer area, then castle walls, then courtyard, prison cells, castle palace,…)

  5. FURTHER EXPANSION OF OUR TOWN : Underground/ town outskrits (where we could reposition farms, mines etc,… and have more space for other future buildings.

  6. OUTPOSTS raids : you can sigN in/off whether you wish to compete for outposts to increase bonuses to iron/food and some other bonuses/rewards. Its PVP and can work similarly to CASTLE WARS idea in sense, that you place heroes on outpost buildings and they each provide different bonuses/or hampers abilites … Outposts would also be different types : magic, fighters, monks, thieves, bandits - each type comes with different buildings for different bonuses . You can also assign heroes to defend outposts (another feature of sending unused/ bench heroes and give them purpose.

  1. MILESTONES and recurring monthly quests for rewards ( monthly quest can be : reach top 1,10,50, 100 place in raids, have 5,10,15 succesfull consecutive defenses ,…another minor thing for high end players to strive for.

  2. HOW to increase influx of new players coming to E&P to increase game stability in future= (6 month booster of decreased building and project time management, double production from farms and map lvls, newbie sales/offers first few months?

  3. Other ways of increasing alliance participation in more meaningful way? Maybe allaince building legendary item which gives bonuses to whole alliance or even better - offers them unique alliance quest tied to each legendary item,…!!

  4. ALLIANCE BUILDING : OBELISK / MONUMENT : each member should throw resources into it, do certain quests, hit some scores in raids etc, or research some project,… You can choose different types of monuments and each alliance can have only one monument or they have to collapse it and build different one. The higher (lvl) the obelisk/ monument is, the better are chances for rewards, bonuses, coins (people throw coins, gems to obelisk - worshipping , helping us pull :P) etc, there is more stuff to do/ quests,… The higher the lvl of obelisk, the higher it needs for participation to be to increase lvl of it and research next stage.

  5. EVENT - LAST MAN STANDING which mixes setups of 3* , 4* and 5* harmonically - no other feature does that : New event - LAST MAN STANDING

OTHER MINOR STUFF :

  • Costume bonues (How come S2 heroes who are behind in power to event heroes or S3, have lesser costume bonues? Please rebalance
  • Please make costumes for all other atlantis heroes before S3 costumes are featured.
  • When can we expect new tavern costumes? Seshat, Gravemaker and Alberich were features 3 times already… and those heroes are behind in power for 30+ even with costumes.
  • More tournament/ war rules - inclusion of different heroes/setups
  • extra soul exchange coin (as new type of reward - offers extra soul exchange + reduces cost of exchanged heroes by 50%)
  • Raids can also offer backpacks, emblems ( to help us with high influx/ leveling new heroes we pull)
  • Please make atlantis offers like other portals have - for more atlantis coins
  • QOL alchemy lab - make it easier to set amount of same order with few clicks, not do each order separately…
  • Please give some extra spark to war of the three kingdoms event and make families a bit more distinct in what they bring to battlefield (bonuses, ailments, special skill to fire etc…

FUN QUESTION : Where did you get inspiration for creating hero Thor ( his special- first with charge mechanic) and introduction of charge effect specials, which was later introduced to Ninjas, Mage heroes and Styx ones? Are you happy with versatility that those heroes brought or are they too unpredictable from gameplay standpoint ? :slight_smile:
